Well, Jackson ordered several different sets of handcrafted dishes, glasses and mugs... one set for every town the characters eat at. Each one of them made to imitate hobbit, elven, dwarven, etc crafts.
Same goes for clothing, armor, weapons, etc...
And it goes without saying that they hired someone to engrave the walls of Moria (well, the set that was Moria, hehe), with the whole history of the dwarves, and theres not a single scene where you can read any of it...
The theory behind it (or the justification) is that actors will perform better if the suspension of disbelief is made easier by having all these excellent props around them.

Nevermind that Israel receives most of the foreign aid given worldwide by the USA, and has never made a single foreign debt payment, many people still think its a struggling nation, unjustly suffering from the "scourge of terrorism".
Wow, talking trash when playing foosball is one thing, but if anybody tries to taunt me while playing chess, human or machine, I'd throw the entire board at him!
Well, my wallet is the same size as it has always been and I handle the new bills just fine.
All bills are the same width, the lenght being shorter for the smaller bills. That, combined with the color schemes in the bills, makes for easy and quick counting.
Indeed it is easier to counterfeit dollars than most other currencies. However you still have to go through a lot of trouble to produce a credible counterfeit.
The real issue with US dollars is its lack of user-friendlyness... All the bills are the same size, same color and have the same basic design. So now, instead of correcting this for the sake of machine recognition and dim-sighted people, they are making them uglier instead, with oversized sanserif numbers in the corners.
The original plastic bills do not feel like currency either. They just introduced plastic 20 pesos bills here in Mexico (because they are supposedly more durable) and they just feel like thin plastic, instead of the fine grained feel of a "real" bill.
The moderators who gave you that nice +4 sure didnt know your opinion is copied verbatim from a Wired Article, but still I agree with you.
Apple can lose much more than they can win from buying a media company. They should instead focus on what they do best... shiny laptops and mp3 players to steal....er conveniently transport the music and video files that the media companies kindly give away....er produce
In fact, having worked for an airline (until a few days ago, actually), I can tell you that you cannot transfer miles to anybody else....unless your company forces you to call and book a flight with your miles under another name, and then you have to go and sign on a certificate confirming your request that Joe Somebody flies using your miles, and you have to do this every time they want to do this
Needless to say, its very rare that companies do this, since its so much of a pain in the butt... Goverment agents (as another poster pointed out) flying with Uncle Sam's money are different, since they fly Govermental Fares which do not accrue miles.
So instead of fighting Hitler in WW2 we should have just sent him Food, Books, and $?
The US and its allies should have sent Food, Books and Cash to Germany so that they wouldnt be hungry and pissed enough to listen to Hitler in the first place.
And about the money spent on Afghanistan, quit whining, the US gives waaay more money to Israel, and they are a first world country by all accounts... and a much worse violator of UN resolutions.
And the connection between Al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein is...?
Besides Powell/Rumsfeld/Bush, no one buys the theory that Sadamm has been supporting Al-Qaeda... in fact, religious nuts like Osama and Mullah Omar hated Saddam because he didnt impose a religious state like they did in Afghanistan.
And wasnt the US who threatened Mexico (a non-permanent member of the Security Council) with severe economic sanctions and to forever tie-up in the US congress a visa waiver program for temporary mexican workers in the US?
Even though a visa waiver program would bring much needed dollars to mexican small towns all over the country, the whole of the country is firmly against the war and President Vicente Fox has stated that, despite the promises (and later threats) received from Bush and Spanish president Aznar, he will uphold our constitution which prohibits the country to engage in offensive war (as opposed to defending one's country), and also prohibits us from condoning other country's invasions.
Close, but not exactly... Paco Stanley was assasinated outside a fancy restaurant by thugs hired by the drug cartels (he owed a lot of money) and the whole thing was made possible by his Sideshow-Bob-style assistant, who hated him because one of the common themes in Paco's shows was to humilliate him to make people laugh.
The Sideshow bob style guy was in prison for a couple of months but they couldnt find hard evidence against him... but anybody who saw them both in television knows he was involved.

Perl: use Clue; /etc/clue
bash: .
Pascal: uses Clue
Java: public class main extends clue
Python: import Clue
The best way to make readable code is to leave out the comments altogether :-)
:-)
...And even in python you should use comments in moderation, (read: "when you are using some fancy voodoo")
After all, the code should be self-explanatory
In Python maybe, but certainly not in Perl
mhmm, wouldnt that violate the laws of physics?
Nah, look at the Civil War inside Sony
I for one, wouldnt want Apple to go through that

The Napa DAV311 can be purchased in any computer bazaar in Mexico for about 80USD...
It plays CD's, MP3 CD's, and even has a video output if you want to play VCD's on it.

Probably learned from Dan Quayle
Ah another clueless liberal who misunderestimates the President...
Ah, another clueless right-wing nut who doesn't have a working grasp of the English language... Just like Dubya!
or telephone sales/support!
Not only clairvoyant, but also strong in the ways of the dark side!
...And thats probably why Motorhead still sounds the same today as they did in the times of "orgasmatron"
Mhmmm ok Granpa, whatever you say... now take your medication and go to sleep
Beatle's "Sergent Peper" album was recorded on a four track recorder. ...by a genius producer: George Martin
On the other hand, how many other records from that age sound as good?
