Interesting read, but saying "science got it wrong" is a bit silly. Science is a system. If somebody performs a stud and writes a paper and then a media publication boils it down to a headline, they are the ones to blame.
The one thing that I don't understand about the discourse regarding unlimited data is the use of the term abuse. How is it that the top users of unlimited data are considered abusers? Should they have purchased the tier that provides more than merely unlimited?
Works fine in any car I've ever driven. One cannot necessarily remove the key, but you quickly notice that the engine turns off and you lose power braking and power steering.
How did you write such a long and seemingly well thought out response when you know so little about this subject? The mining is essentially the transaction log of all bitcoins. In addition to that being a beneficial side-effect, it's an extremely elegant solution to the problem of a centralized clearing house.
I'm constantly measuring my particle. Spin up is zero. Spin down is one. How is this any different than, say, Morse code? Observing spin does not destroy entanglement. Quantum entanglement appears to propagate at thousands of times the speed of light.
This comment is wrong. Imagine that the sender and receiver were sufficiently far apart, say a million light years. Quantum entanglement would allow them to have faster than light communication even if it was being "encrypted" and "decrypted" with a commodore 64.
Uh, yes you can. Entanglement is order of magnitude faster than the speed of light. It has nothing to with light however. Experiments have been done to see how "fast" it is.
Doesn't the Heisenberg Uncertainty principle kind of say that when these machines are determining spins of particles, that they cause them to change? ie entropy?
I'm responding from an airport lounge after two weeks in a different country with no permanent office. I do this every three to four weeks.
Any more questions?
I was referring to the apples to oranges argument of desktops to laptops that this article seems to make. I understand that laptops are portable computers.
Why would people need to move from Windows computers (presumably PCs) to Chrome laptops? Are there any good reasons why a business user would want to be using a laptop? I know I wouldn't.
Do you really believe what you are saying? First of all, natural selection and human beings ain't what it used to be, bub. Do you think all the mental/physical disorders that we more or less ALLOW to exist are providing some sort of benefit to our race? Come on guy!
Imagine the backlash when all the obese people band together because their doctors told them to eat shit.
When/why/how did Snowden become the the prophet of everything security??? It's hiring a serial killer to run a branch of the military...
...thanks, Obama.

Would you care to share a few of those (ab)use cases?
Except those are both similes. But on the bright side, you fail only at the classification of figures of speech.

actually, it has meaning
Your mOM is half a bOMb.
I can store encrypted data in my safe. I can send encrypted data through the mail. I could keep encrypted data in my vehicle. What's your point?
We here at dice plan to mine your data but it's an awful hassle to analyze said data. Please do that for us.

Seriously, what the hell? 417 cases of polio last year reported. This has to be on par with the number of motorcycle deaths due to flying mammals.

Nothing like a heartfelt sermon from somebody who has likely never seen a gun in their life.

Yea....but that's still blackmail (see illegal).
Deaf people can still 'feel' noise. Go to a concert sometime.
