    Personally, I love the idea of instant run off. Practically, it ain't gonna work. People had enough trouble with a straight up single vote, what do you think will happen if voting gets more complicated?

    Not quite security by obscurity, if the number isn't presented in the UI anywhere (it becomes "something you have").

    Where are you getting 5 bits of entropy? Hell, the serial number on my HP laptop is 10 alphanumeric.

    That doesn't need a single hardcoded password. Generate one based on the serial number of the device. Recoverable, and a heck of a lot more secure than a single password for everybody.

    but because I don't want my money going to the prop up companies that approve of DRM laden software and sue people for modding the hardware they sell.

    Then why do you have a Wii? Nintendo is who taught Sony and MS' what they know about that.

    Not really. Most, if not every, lock down in the past few decades have been broken. Yet they still persist. They're not going to learn.

    Huh? Considering CC is based on copyright, they still have the copyright to their own shows. It's no different than if they licensed boy band of the day and put it on the show.
