hahah nice troll. If you were a developer, clearly you would have used Project Builder which has been around since the mid 90s or even better XCode. I dont know anyone who developed only in VI. Xcode+interface builder is much easier to use than visual studio (IMHO)
i am not joking. In asia, people used to use/stll use these things and you could pick up tons of phone calls on FM radios. Was funny to listen to but certainly not something i would use.
huh? mod down because you disagree with a point that i DID NOT make? jeez, people on slashdot are getting dumber by the day. Have i even mentioned MS in my post? if you dont think GPL is viral, compare it to something the BSD.
out of curiosity, does the creative commons license infect other work like the GPL does? hypothetically speaking, if it did, would including work under that license infect everything else and make it all creative commons?
Man, it's times like this I wish slashdot was like it was back in the 90's when the people who posted actually had a technical background. I can't believe you think i dont know what OSI is after i posted something about TCP vs OSI.
that is an interesting point. when you think about it, IE is the standard. There are theoretical standards, but it is what it really used that matters. For example consdier TCP vs OSI, TCP was not the declared standard.
i would say that lack of international domain names is one of the best things about IE. That is one of the most major security holes in fire fox and I hope IE does not have it as well. Seriously, I don't care about domain names in other scripts if it means phishing sites suddenly have a very effective way of spoofing URLS.
is it just me or is 360 becoming the new X,i,e, extreme. You know, take something and append X,i,e or extreme on it and make it cool. Between Xbox 360 and yahoo 360 i am beginning to see a trend.
nothing really compares to the size and quality of opera. It even supports common Linux handhelds (minimo is not Qtopia based so it only runs under X). But more than that opera has the BEST small screen rendering.
mods this is supposed to be funny! that was one of the funniest satirical posts i've seen on slashdot! thanks for making my morning. the best propaganda parody I've seen in a long time.
linux has no comparable feature..
to jurassic park!
bah, i guess people have no sense of humor
actually an extra $200 if you want to use it to its full capacity .. ie the memory stick.

this article went from funny to rather obnoxious quite quickly. And you wonder why geeks cant get laid.

"An anonymous reader wrote to let us known about a News.com story regarding so-called trusted computing,"
I guess even a spellcheck wouldn't fix that one.
i know bashing the US is cool, but isn't this a NASA project paid for by the US tax payers?

RTFA and can you provide a source for that rumor?
nintendo proves once again that it really is the apple of the console world. go innovation!
you know the danger of linking to wikipedia is anyone can replace you link with goatse and a few readers will actually see it.
