  1. classy on Nintendo Apologizes to SuicideGirls · · Score: 5, Insightful

Reading the letter, i have to say that i like nintendo more as a company. Rarely do we see anyone thesedays admint a mistake apologize and then offer a jesture of goodwill to make amends. I think it was a really classy move on the part of Nintendo. I have alwasy liked their systems and games. It is nice to see that there are some reasonable people working there. I think nintnedo handeled this really well and in the end, people will either simply forget about it or bring it up when defneding nintendo instead of the other way around.
    Kudos.

this sort of reminds me of the argument people make for replacing RIAA affiliated artists with indie bands. You can't simply replace something like an artist or TV show. People watch broadcast TV because they like the shows. The same goes for music. People listen to band X becasue band X is the type of music they like. You can't simply say here this indie band sounds like band X listen to it instead. While replacing windows software with linux software works sometimes, people aren't like that especially when telling them what they shoudl listen to or watch.

Mozilla will hold firefox back. I dont see it reaching any significant levels mainly due to the continued use of radical left wing imagery. As long as things like this continue to exist, there will be many people like my self who will not use mozilla. As more people find out what mozilla is all about, the adoption of the software will be hurt.

that kerry is known to say whatever will please the audience and go back on it later if he is in front of another crowd. For example, when among homosexuals, he talks about homosexual marriage but will never mention that in a black church or among blacks in general and people make sure no one asks about it. The same goes for his position on the war. Among anti-war groups, he is anti-war among more main stream people he is a moderate. Gievn his history, he will not do anything about the DMCA. do you really think the movie actors and recording artists that have given millions to him in cash and campaign ads will accept that? Politicians always consider reelection. If Kerry weakens the position of his base, he will not be elected.

Therefore you see Vmware, mathematica etc. but no MS office.
