I know why a lot of companies drug test. It makes their workers comp insurance cheaper.
I know because I wrote the program that applies this discount (among other things) to your premium when you get your coverage from my employer.
I ain't saying it's right, but that's the way it is. FWIW, when I was hired I signed a form allowing them to do a credit check (and I took a drug test). I have no idea if they actually ran my credit or not.
Will this not work with the Series 2? I just traded my old Series 1 standalone for a Series 2 DirecTiVo. I haven't connected it to my network yet but this could certainly be a great incentive to do so.
I only use that name for posting in the eBay discussion boards and not even for that so much recently. At the time, it was unusual for such "posting names" to have feedback so I bought something with it. I have 2 more ID's with ~40 feedbacks each.
Because my anonymous*coward character is a bit unconventional, I bought a 6' inflatable party pecker with it. Had some good laughs in the eBay Town Square with that one.
BTW, the party pecker was a great pool toy for a year (inflatable pool toys never last more than a year around here). Highly recommended.
Not quite. Since MS is changing the file format for Office documents, companies will lose the ability to open documents created in the new versions. This will effectively force them to upgrade, even if they don't care about new features.
Do you know anyone who works at an authorized Apple Repair center? When I did (many years ago), we could create an entire Mac from service parts. In fact, when I built my MacTV aquarium I did so by ordering all the case plastic parts from Apple instead of tearing up an old computer.
I mod them so much

That they aren't even computers any more. I've made aquariums out of 'classic' Macs, Lisas, MacTV's, and large monitors of all kinds. I've made Macs into bookshelf speakers, Old IBM PC's into cat litterboxes, and am now working on coverting an old laptop into an ant farm. I'm keeping my eyes open for a big PC tower so I can cut the top off, hinge it with a foot pedal and make a trash can.
Why? 'cause I like to tear stuff up and make it into something else. Does anyone need a better reason?
That way, you can watch a 30 minute episode in about 10 minutes, skipping all the commercials and filler.
I see a lot of comments about how it wasn't innovative and didn't evolve but I think it did. And even though more fights were boring than not, when there was a good fight, it was really cool. Even though the show had the 'feel' of Pro Wrestling, I never thought the fights were pre-determined - don't see how they could have been.
I hope some other network picks it up - I would miss it.
But Adium only does AIM, right? I want all four services running at once and Fire does a pretty nice job at that. If I want Yahoo Webcam or one of the special features the 'real' client provide, I log off that service in Fire and launch the authorized app. This happens very seldom - most of the time Fire is fine.
LOL - maybe they should just dress how their employer wants them to dress, earn their pay, and get on with their life after work. Who gives a crap how they have to dress at work? Not me.
Besides, a pair of casual work slacks is cheaper than a pair of 501's these days.
But it's possible that you may. I got a nasty-gram from Comcast last year because my wife had turned on some kind of ICQ home-page that served from her computer. It was basically a blank page with a hit counter showing about 6 hits and they were all over me.
Wichita used to have a ton of aviation related industry. I know they've still got Boeing and Cessna but at one time there were lots more.
There's an old airstrip about 50 miles south of Wichita (west of Arkansas City) that I (mis)spent much of my youth at drag racing.
No more beachball of boredom! Wheeeee!!!!!

I've seen the WTC episode several times since 9/11.

Sucks hell, where do I get a job doing that?
It's a profession in the US also. Just an airbrush artist that has specialized (as have I but with a much different canvas).

A screen name is your eBay personality. You buy and sell under that name and if you wish, participate in their online community.
There's no rule against having more than one. I, for example, am "anonymous*coward" on eBay.
Indeed? Let's see you come up with the diagnostic codes for a 2002 Mustang so your non-Ford authorized shop can work on the car.
Oops.
Because the Constitution says so.
Really. Look it up.
Since everyone else is giving away their age by telling how big their first drive was and how much it cost, so will I. I'll never forget it...
10MB Techmar with a serial interface - $2000. This was ~1984 and I was damn glad to have it!
You can drag and drop right from OmniWeb's bookmarks window to the Safari bookmark bar. It's still a one-at-a-time operation but not bad.
Find a completed auction on eBay that did very well for the same or a similar item and emulate that auction as closely as possible.
Have you tried the "Thumbs Down" button (3 times) on these suggestions? That worked for me.

See a lot of my stuff here...
They did anyway. That would seem to make a conspiracy less likely.

Seems to me a significant number of people might upgrade their CPU and keep their existing monitor. I see nothing wrong with pricing this way.

Yes, you do. What other computer company creates actual 'brand loyalty' like Apple?
