i don't drink beer (my body doesn't react well to it) and my papers suck. but then again, i'm not a scientist. they should check how beer affects people with a BA degree.
The guy put $30 mln of his own money. Let him do what he wants with it... and if we benefit in the process, let's be grateful. Maybe we can learn a lesson on business.
This is probably something to do with sites like Slickdeals.net that caught on the deal earlier and maxed out the freebie. Just one of their threads on this deal has over 47,000 views.
Nobody told anybody to go and kill the person. FACT. The database might have facilitated that function (fact, indeed), but you can use your argument on literally anything. Nailguns might facilitate killing, hammers, forks, things with sharp edges, and so on. I still think that the person who went to kill is at fault. If there were no database, he would have looked for other ways to obtain the information and kill the person.
To say that making the public aware of sex offenders online leads to murder is a bit extreme in my opinion. If that's the case all the media could be leading to murder by identifying and giving information on situations going on all around the world every single day. That information can be used to do a simple google search on the subject and google map his house. Finishing up the whole thing and doing the deed. That's what she said.
Everything is just as you want it to be. For the vast majority of Windows users, the sort of argument that claims "MS is self-destructing itself with its contradictions" is meaningless in the sense that they will faithfully wait for an update, upgrade, or the next version of Windows to come along. They pay for MS to keep the paradox alive, because they are used to it and/or don't feel there's a problem with it and/or it's not at the top of their priorities.
Linux users, well, they can poke fun at, create theories of how MS will screw itself up, and all of that. Because they're looking at MS products with a totally different purpose. They are looking at MS and its empire with a purpose unlike any Windows user. Linux comes with a sort of "messianic" or "liberatory" perspective that is trying to show the world, 'look! MS is evil, Windows sucks! We have something better! We can make something better and free!' but they just can't sell it because Windows users only have one reality: Windows. They fear the new (unless it's like Windows), they don't know how to change (it's become too big), nor think they have the time to change to something different (why change?). Maybe children or teenagers are a better target for different OS types. For they might have cleaner slates. Scramble.
Well, one could argue that the average user might not know of the dangers that "third party" products entail. And why should they entail such danger anyway? Why should anyone be allowed to sell a product that is known to have a higher chance of malfunctioning? I think something's wrong there.
I nearly passed out because of the anxiety of having a needle stuck in my arm. But then, when the nurse stuck the needle in, and it actually hurt like hell I knew I was going to pass out. The nurse started asking me all these random questions to stop me from passing out. 'What a pussy!' you must be thinking, but I swear this nurse didn't know how to insert a needle... oh the horror.
Getting leukemia and all sorts of cancers for the rest of one's life does not seem as bad as dying, but it's still pretty horrible. Many might not have died, but we've all heard the horror stories of how miserably they live with diseases, etc. Maybe we shouldn't focus on the mortality rate, but on the life quality of those alive and how they lived.
It's irrelevan whether MS/Intel or Linux/AMD's product is "better". All that matters is that kids in bad situations get access to technology and information to advance their futures. If either of them is serving the cause, then it should be supported regardless on what camp one stands.
Last night I was uploading a file to mediafire.com at about 450kbps and 3 minutes into the upload session my internet connection was cut off. So I had to restart my cable modem. Then I reconnected and went back on mediafire, tried again... same thing happened. I reconnected the modem, then I tried one last time; my internet was cut off till the next day (today). I can only express disgust for Comcast if I was disconnected for uploading a file I needed for work. I didn't call Comcast because I hate being put on hold, but I probably should have verified if it was really them that cut me off. It's just weird that it happened 3 times during an upload session which used some bandwidth.
Let's not forget the Clinton administration officially refusing to use the word "genocide" for what was happening in Rwanda back in 1994. And the left wingers were trying to make it easier for the Soviets to expand their Communist influence in central Latin America. In the Cold War era, this was like inviting the Soviets to our backdoor. And I would write more in detail if I didn't have other things to do.......
I do not agree with the point of view of this article. It's not "evil" to pay 20,000 yen to a homeless person to stand in line to purchase a PS3 for you. And it is not "evil" to later sell that PS3 for a higher price to someone who's willing to pay more for it. It's the way things work. You pay someone to do the hard work for you, you get the fruits of that person's work, and multiply its profits. There's always a risk in being the investor. For all you know, the homeless person can sell the PS3 himself and run away to live in a different street. Neither is Sony to be blamed for making products and selling them. Sony has just created a whole new market through which people will hire a Chinese guy to stand in line, buy PS3s, and sell them again at a higher price. Because the market dictates that the lack of supply and huge demand justifies it being resold at a higher price. Money will change hands, products will change hands, and somehow the economy will benefit. If Sony made no PS3s, then that market would've never emerged.
I think you're better off getting a new girlfriend.
Having internet access might be a great way to increase security aboard a plane.

That kid got what he deserved. That'll teach him not to mess with rogue programs. The teacher has successfully saved the kid from taking the red pill.
"Mars Rover Technology Used to Make Better Maps".... Does this mean it doesn't make better maps any more? //Didn't RTFA.
Oh, and one more thing.... facts don't speak for themselves. The interpreter does.
It seems that all these theories are based on very subjective opinions of what they think reality to be. For each, their own reality.

<deadhorse action="flog">Why buy an IBM Thinkpad T61 when you can buy an IBM Thinkpad T61 Alike for 1/5th the price?</deadhorse>
My guess: Because your house will be in flames the next day for 1/5th the price?Well, one could argue that the average user might not know of the dangers that "third party" products entail. And why should they entail such danger anyway? Why should anyone be allowed to sell a product that is known to have a higher chance of malfunctioning? I think something's wrong there.
This is good news for me. I just bought an IBM Thinkpad T61, so I can be extra careful when I buy my new 9-cell batteries. Thanks for the bad news.
Diamonds are forever~

microsoft always stimulates the economy!
