But essentially it's true that in most cases the authorities cannot compel you to to divulge your crypto keys, but under certain circumstances they can. For example if they already know what they can expect to find (I.e they have examples of say child pornography coming from your IP), then a judge can compel you to divulge your keys or be held in contempt of court.

Any admin worth their salt is just going to monitor usage of administrative privileges, so if a user who is not supposed to have those privileges suddenly uses them, it's pretty clear what is going on.
