THIS What the fuck are they typing? Why does it take so many keystrokes? They are all pretty fast typers judging by the rate of "clicky clack click" soa re they just hitting random keys while staring at the screen doing nothing? I can't imagine what kind of UI forces a person to type that much.
A UI designed by the programmers, not a UI designer, unlike most self-serve kiosks.
That said, the self-serve kiosks usually have 2 or 3 actual tasks do to, whereas the desk ones can do EVERYTHING. Of course it's easier to design a kiosk UI.
Yeah, I don't get it either. When Harper first announce the F-35 buying program, my first thought was "WTF? Why not the Super Hornet?" Guess we'll never know other than he likely had someone to get cozy to.
Why it's news: BSides cancelled the talk last minute, which is bad organization.
If you read Violet Blue's post, or the copy posted above, you'll find that she didn't even submit a topic until the last minute:
It had been decided months ago that I would give a talk at Security BSides San Francisco. The subject of my talk was up in the air until just before the conference started, and the organizers were okay with that, but to not inconvenience or surprise the organizers, I decided to present the same talk I had given at Security BSides Las Vegas in 2012. I submitted the talk description just before the conference began, and it went on the website immediately.
So she's pretty fucking unorganized herself. The fact that the BSides organizers were OK with her not giving a subject in advance is pretty dumb.
I don't see the point either. Not everything is worth remembering, and certainly not preserving until your death bed. You grow old. You forget things. You can't do what you once did. Deal with it.
The problem is that most of the data is not available till it is too late. Or worse, only the data for the government part is available. So when we see X Gazillion is spend on a dead end project, people will shudder. You will seldom hear about this from private companies.
Easy: he got paid in share options and not cash, thereby making money out of thin air. If BG actually exercised all his options and tried to sell them on the open market, Microsoft shares would instantly lose a ton of value simply due to over saturating the market. That's why he "gifted" all those options to the charity he started: to avoid paying taxes on the wealth he supposedly earned, and to keep their value up.
I always find this a funny part about talking to Americans about these separate debit cards: in Canada, your ATM card is a debit card & has been for years.
Yes, we have, now stop swearing!
And/or leave the fucking dorms.
Really, it just takes a little discipline.
Doesn't sound like the original poster has any. Nothing we say is going to help unless he gets this first.
So workout at home. It's cheaper and has no commute time.
A friend at work has 2 small kids. He wakes up 30 minutes early and works out at home before the kids need to get their day going. Pretty simple.
Where is there a 57 speed limit, either km/h or mph? They end in 5 or 0 on public roads at least.
We just need to go back to the pre-Bush extension start and end times.
So, stop the mail service because YOU don't use it. Gotcha.
Get laid, start a gym and clean food regimen, and drop any bad habits you have NOW.

"Which is precisely the sort of thing we need to know," insisted the girl. "Do people want trees that can be fitted nasally?"

Bullshit. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/e60e60d6-c495-11e1-a98c-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2Lvyph9ak is just one example from the past year. Or Google and Motorola Mobile http://www.rethink-wireless.com/2013/01/23/motorola-drags-googles-quarter.htm
This happens all the time, very much in the public eye, since publicly traded companies have to announce these results to their shareholders.
Only large boats are money sinks that the rich avoid.
In other words, get an alarm system and put the rest on insurance lol.
Except for hipsters. They likely already stole his turntable and cassette deck!
Dang, Where are all these soulful corporations when you need them?
You'd be surprised how badly people write, even in senior manager and higher positions.
Yep, Nixon took the US off the gold standard for absolutely no reason at all.

Nothing bad EVER happens in small towns or the suburbs, I guess.

Nice spam there, jackass.
