    No problem when it is flying, but what about
    when a mechanical failure occurs? I don't want these things falling on me! If it is Autonomous, does this mean that no one is watching the darn thing? If an operator is not part of the process, how will it land or "crash" safely?

    Mars has polar ice caps that are melting.
    Recently we see articles in the media talking about glaciers melting in Chili. I never this mentioned w/respect to the sun going thru a period of increased activity. Which it does every 11 years. Are they connected? I think so. A very small increase in energy output by the sun has an effect on Earth (and Mars!). But Global Warming advocates never seem to realise this.

    make a head resistant cone out of fabric to wrap around the rest of it. Have it over a simple frame.

    Package a parachute inside the fabric cone.

    Fire retro rockets at the right time and land it anywhere you wish. Score one for the Space Museum

    It is no fun working for scientest. I'd not recommend it. Perhaps the difficult personalities are known well enuf that that is the reason they are having trouble attracting the "right element" of people? In other words the smart guys know how hard they are to work for and avoid them?
