He's talking about the iPad quip. The iPad complaints and references to it as a 'consumption' device have absolutely nothing to do with the next iteration of Windows, by including this as part of the response it shows a disconnect from the reality of the community of us that aren't astroturfing comments on a website for compensation other than perhaps dumbass ego trips. Hell, I can almost guarantee it has more to do with Android tablets or just simply not giving a shit about an oversized touchscreen phone when we already have a regular touchscreen phone plus a laptop/desktop for real work.

That is one big PITA situation you will run into in the IT field, the managers who are tech savvy, but not IT best practices savvy, who will setup their own servers and run software that does magical shit behind the scenes. Six months later, users come to IT complaining that some random tool isn't working, and IT is all 'what the FUCK are you talking about?' and discovers a gaping hole in their wired network that cannot be plugged, we essentially have to assimilate the tool(s) and server into the network if it has enough positive business use among enough employees (or enough high level mgmt types, or the CEO and his secretary only), regardless of how it doesn't fit into the existing infrastructure.

L4D2 was essentially a mod to the original L4D, so of course it didn't take long. That and the storyline is half-assed. And there are few maps and all of the maps are strictly linear with minimal need for exploration.

Also, while I do agree to an extend with the premise of the article, Stardock is essentially direct competition to Steam/Valve, so take Brad Wardell's comments with a grain of salt. Not to say I don't like Stardock and didn't have a few minutes of game fever with Sins of a Solar Empire.

I predict a bunch of people will spout a bunch of insignificant bullshit justifications as to why one or another is wrong.

Open source needs 'more training' only in the way a new technology from Microsoft will need more training. As different aspects of daily computing life are acclimated to open source tools, it becomes much more difficult to apply up front costs to proprietary software that has similar functionality. The only reason an open source tools will cost more to integrate into a Microsoft environment would be deliberate obfuscation of integration tools and APIs on Microsofts part (which is their right to do with their software as the see fit, up to the point of not making false claims about the capabilities and interoperability between themselves and third parties).

The whole presentation and marketing of this movie was about the realism it portrayed, the premise from the directors and producers was realism. This simply wasn't a good movie.
