Isn't this how GNOME has always been? It's like they looked at Mac OS and thought Apple was giving users too much freedom to work how they want. It's really disgusting.
It has install base, it doesn't have software sales. As for Sony's "cheap knockoff" of the Wii remote, it's actually a greatly superior implementation than Nintendo's for similar gameplay applications. Though not as varied applications as those of a traditional gamepad and neither company is doing a very good job of capitalizing on that potential.
I'm not really sure what your point was supposed to be. I was pointing out that there aren't very many games along the lines of House of the Dead or Madworld on Wii and that their sales have been so poor that there aren't likely to be any follow ups. At least not on Wii.
Though now that you've got me replying to this, I might as well add that these games are pretty shallow in comparison to the games on PS3 and 360 that attempt to cater to similar demographics and both House of the Dead: Overkill and Madworld would have been better games on either of those platforms. Especially House of the Dead, since the Wii remote's fidelity is its greatest weakness, a problem that would be solved by Playstation Move or Guncon 3.
I wouldn't say it's much easier. Or even easier at all, really. You can grab an Xbox 360 for $200 and a license to deploy code to it for $99/year. I don't know what the cheapest Windows Phone 7 you can get is, but I can't imagine it's much cheaper than that and even if it were, since we're talking about ease of development, you are basically looking at a single hardware target with 360 as opposed to at least a handful of targets for WP7.
It doesn't have "lots" of those kinds of games. It has a few of them, all of which have sold so poorly that the companies that put them out (let's keep it real, it's just Sega) aren't going to do any more of them.
There's actually a lot of evidence that, up to a point, wealth does equal happiness. And why wouldn't it? You don't have to worry about paying your medical bills, or eating, or making rent.
Optimus V lacks a physical keyboard. This would be a deal breaker even on a phone without a tiny 3.2" display. Obviously they work for some people but I've used half a dozen touch screen phones and the virtual keyboards weren't within a mile of acceptable for even minimal use on any of them. Otherwise, yeah, the specs on the Optimus are definitely decent enough.
This might be a good point except that television is the delivery mechanism, not the "medium" in the way that a book, play, or movie is a medium. Broadcast television as we know it could very well disappear. Which isn't the same as there no longer being things that would effectively be recognized as "television" shows. Wrong assumptions and conclusions. Impressive.
Yes, seriously. For the same number of minutes and unlimited data that I have now on T-Mobile, without a contract, they charge $20 more for those on contract. The equipment discounts when renewing your contract are low enough that you're still getting hosed after 15 months if you go with the contract and hardware discount. It's pretty messed up.
It'd be really nice if this would eventually make it to VM, seeing as how they're owned by Sprint and their data plans are ridiculously cheap. The only real downside to Virgin is that their smartphone offerings are pretty low end. The best Android phone they've got is the Samsung Intercept and it's 3.2" screen is only 240x400.
This is _the_ worst. Make all the grammar mistakes you want, more if you do it on purpose, but do _not_ make those mistakes while trying to sound smart!
Those parties are made up of fringe lunatics though, that's the problem. What we need is, as the GP said, a moderate, mainstream party. This is one area where the media is destroying our ability to have any chance at a legitimate 3rd party by obfuscating the fact that the "moderate" opinion in America is actually quite a ways to the left of nearly all Democrats.
But you obviously wouldn't understand that since you're stupid enough to think that these teabagger idiots are either moderate or sane. They're just Republicans, only even stupider. Now run along and grab your idiot Republican buddies with mod points, I can take it.
How is it convenient? The number of useful functions in the menu bars of other browsers is tiny. In Chrome these functions have all been moved to the tools icon and the rest have been removed because nobody uses them. This uselessness makes it an worthless waste of space on any size screen.
Just because something is standard, even if it has been for a long time, does not make it good. Be honest now, how many menu functions do you _ever_ use? Not enough to fill up more than one menu, I guarantee it.
I think it's safe to say that anyone pirating a $1 app isn't going to be convertible. They aren't part of the potential customer pool and the only sensible thing to do is ignore them and move forward. If the app were more expensive there'd very likely be some room to address at least some pirates on price.
tekgoblin currently the whole article.
If you don't like bullet-points in porn you're clearly not watching the right stuff.

No interest in producing cars? What do you suppose those car-shaped things in their dealership are? I hope they're candy!
So you're talking about the same thing that I am? Where's the disagreement or do you just not know what you're talking about?

Who wants to read the truth constantly? Probably a lot of people.

He won a Nobel for his work in QED? Where can I download his Quake maps?
Plus, case-sensitivity is for babies.
You're terribly misinformed. There is no better tool than Vi.

Why would anyone want to leave a large city? You're just talking crazy!

It's the 21st century, welcome to it.
