    So here's my question(s): how does a Bitcoin keep you anonymous, when it is (a file that is ultimately) a number? How does one guarantee transferring ownership of a number without the seller retaining a copy?

    The law shouldn't have large sections that are only used when you piss off a federal agent / judge.

    I was in NYC recently. The subway there has a sign stating that assaulting a NY transportation authority personnel will result in some number of years in prison. Sadly, it did not also state what assaulting a "regular dweeb" would result in.

    My take? We now have at least two classes of citizens. In writing.

    Do you really want to give people incentive to kill you after they've stolen from you? That's what happened in old England when they made laws punishing pickpockets with death, and it will likely be the end result of your suggestion as well.

    See also their site, where you can download the ISO for free, and donate to them so they can make the next movie (Zeitgeist: Beyond the Pale). Thanks btw, I've seen the first two and didn't know there was a third. The torrent is fast.

    I've pretty much stopped watching TV. I mean I still have a DVR and it's approaching capacity, but I just can't be bothered to watch any of that crap.

    It's much more fun (and I say this with only a very tiny bit of my tongue in my cheek) to watch my society tear itself apart at the seams, here on Slashdot.

    I think Golddess meant the "3 accusations of downloading and you lose your internet" laws that are making the rounds in the countries that for some reason want to view the video shit that the USA is productizing.
