much too easy.
Pay the University based on what the education turns out to be worth. The entry tuition should be lowered over-all, then each student pays 10% of their actual income for the first 20 years after graduation. The final cost of the education is then based on how the society actually values it, and the University receives a more steady source of income. (The the argument becomes if 10 years is a better measure, since 20 year income may depend more on a student's innate talents than initial education)

Yeah, and all you protesters, picketers, political dissidents, usual suspects, and everybody else! We gotcha!
There's a company who knows how to design cheap hardware, sell it a premium, and convince you to pay and pay and pay to use it! Jobs is brilliant!
My mammy always taught me it is impolite to kill somebody you have not been properly introduced to.
Really, it can't be all that bad... ...can it?

The thing makes power -- why can't it use its own power to run the pumps to keep it cool enough to work? I can see the need for outside power in a start-up mode. But after that you should be able to cut the umbilical cord. Would we be having this conversation (or this nuclear disaster) if it was self-powered? What am I missing or don't know?
Google believes in the "camel's nose" principle. [ i.e. let the camel's nose into the tent, and soon you'll have the entire camel.]
iPhone, iPad, iAnything are purely sales platforms for Apple. Don't expect Jobs to be in a hurry to fix this -- he doesn't think it's broken.
