If SC2 and WoW (I'm not currently subscribed, but I don't kid myself by saying "I'll never be back") could run on this, then I could probably get rid of my Windows box.
At first I was excited reading your comment. Then after seeing the youtube video saying it was for PS 4 I was worried. Since the official website is down, I researched it, and now I definitely know this will be no comparison to Myst.
Development started in 2009, originally planned for PC and iOS, along with some consoles. Then he decided to discontinue work towards Xbox 360 and PS 3 "due to the relatively low system specs", even though the graphics seem on par with the original Myst. Now it's going to be a limited time PS 4 exclusive, with Windows and iOS versions to follow.
Really? Xbox 360 and PS 3 don't have enough power for this game, but iOS does? Maybe I should check out his previous game "Braid" first, but this guy doesn't seem to know what he's doing in game development, even if his game design is good.
Yeah, I think this needs to be emphasized. The 5c is only $100 less than the 5s; I wouldn't call it cheap. The 5c is still more than twice the cost of a Nexus 4 ($549 vs $249).
The Wii supports 5 players on the same console. I know this because a group of my friends used to have "bomb time" - playing the NES version of Bomberman on the Wii and drinking a Jager bomb in between each round. You just have to use 4 Wii remotes and 1 Game Cube controller plugged in.
DuckDuckGo uses rgba, so it's a real color unlike the near-white the others use, but 18% opaqueness (82% transparent).
For the first three (at least on my LCD monitor) if you view it straight on, the colors almost disappear. If you view the monitor from an angle, say 45+ degrees to the side, then the colors become much more pronounced.
I'm on T-mobile and was looking this up for my fiancé who is on AT&T.
1) The iPhone will work on T-Mobile once it has been unlocked. You have to contact AT&T to unlock the phone, but it seems like it will be pretty simple, as long as "all contractual obligations... have been fully satisfied." See here.
2) Coverage in Orlando was fine for me. I didn't run any speed tests there, but I live in Gainesville, FL and have seen up to 19 Mbps download. It averages around 12 Mbps down, and 1.5 Mbps for upload. I'm not sure about the SF Bay area.
One thing I want to know is how easy it would be to end the contract early, and pay the early termination fee (it shouldn't be much, as her contract ends this summer). Would they unlock the phone after that without any hassle?
So after the latest Dice ad, I finally created an account on Reddit, and already read about this story there. Now I understand all the posts about Slashdot always being the last to the party. Can anyone recommend the best subreddits to subscribe to when trying to replace Slashdot news?
What is it If I enter your house and take photo's of your photos?
That would be copyright infringement, and you would be lucky if your first born son doesn't have to finish your ### life sentences once you die in prison.
Not quite. The original (and still current) terms state:
you hereby grant to Instagram a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, worldwide, limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and translate such Content, including without limitation distributing part or all of the Site in any media formats through any media channels, except Content not shared publicly ("private") will not be distributed outside the Instagram Services
My non-lawyer understanding is that this allows them to apply their filters to the photos and display them on their website.
They changed the updated terms which will go into effect on January 19th:
you hereby grant to Instagram a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use the Content that you post on or through the Service, subject to the Service's Privacy Policy, available here http://instagram.com/legal/privacy/, including but not limited to sections 3 ("Sharing of Your Information"), 4 ("How We Store Your Information"), and 5 ("Your Choices About Your Information"). You can choose who can view your Content and activities, including your photos, as described in the Privacy Policy.
So the updated terms going into effect were reworded, but not any less of a concern. They are adding the bits about the license being transferable and sub-licensable, and removing the bit that excludes private photos from these terms.

The directions are in his newsletter, would you like to subscribe?

And of course, you'd have to compile that code using a compiler that you wrote in assembly.
Robots are tools used by humans. Calling this "robot-human collaboration" is like hammering in a nail and calling it "hammer-human collaboration".

How do I edit or delete a post here ?
No :P
It actually started (as far as I can tell) based on a comment on slashdot from the story An HTTP Status Code For Censorship? This was on June 9th, 2012.

No, top works just fine.
almost 90,000 pounds (40,823kg)
was supposed to weigh only 40,000 pounds
It seems like this error might have been due to the unit of measurement?
A comparison of some ad background colors:

I will buy old Slashdot accounts. For 2-3 digits you can get hundreds of dollars. Contact me at [redacted] !
Basically if you are going to someone else's private property to perform work, they can legally monitor your activities and pay you accordingly.
Do you see the problem with regards to computer programmers?

Stop stop stop stop stop stop stop stop stop.
Please.
Thank you.
Agreed. I really, really hate this.

Extrapolating By the third trimester, there will be hundreds of babies inside you.
Apparently, http://mit.edu/ has been hacked by Lulzsec.

Depends on the size of the target market.
I'm guessing that the size of the target market is quite large.
