They had a few sessions on Groove but it is not tightly integrated with Sp. You can connect Groove to a SharePoint site and work on documents, etc. Other than that it didn't appear that there was a real tight integration with Groove.
I was just at a Microsoft SharePoint conference last wek in Seattle and I have to say I came away very impressed with the new features they will be releasing soon. The integration with the office suite is very impressive. I think this next release will put SharePoint over the top. The 2003 version is good, but this next version looks much, much better.
No kidding. What is "a lot"? Who defines it? How is it enforced? Who wants to bet this law is at least challenged to the state supreme court?

I agree. More competition, in most cases, fosters better products. After all who would have imagined that Firefox would have become the challenger to IE that is has today? It has been helped because of Netscape, Opera and countless others who are still trying to innovate.
I agree. I do not understand this either. The only thing that I can think of is that they will maybe make the new browser the basis for their AOL on-line service?
As a paying Trillian subscriber, I am disappointed in both Yahoo and Trillian. I figured that they had their differences settled last fall when similar stuff went on. I guess I assumed that Trillian was on a good working relationship with the people at Yahoo. I am up for renewal for my Trillian membership and am going to re-evaluate that purchase if this continues.
Mozilla. The default tabbed browsing support rocks!. Not to mention the search features built in to the address bar. I tried Firebird and it was not quite ready yet. I missed the searchin and Java support. I do see myself switching to it once it is more mature.
By the way, what does the scanner register in the grocery store when the clerk scanns Maggie in the opening. I heard it is "NRA 4 Ever". Is that correct?
Shouldn't the Movie and Record industries have been attacking the dual cassette decks, recording capabilities of VCR's, CD-R's, and Dvd-R's a long time ago?

Nothing a little tinfoil of the GPS unit couldn't solve.

I totally agree.

But I am sure it would only be a small explosion. ;)
Kind of the same way RedHat and others make money off of the hard work of kernel developers. They don't seem to mind.

So this is their same ploy. Embrace URL's. Extend them with fancy VBScript stuff and then extinguish them due to a "Flaw". :)

Those TPS reports done yet?
I can see it now. My kid throws a ball that breaks the window and now it will cost me thousands of dollars instead of hundreds to fix it.
will it have MD (MiniDisc) support? I've got to have that.
Shouldn't this be posted on FM?
Old news? Isn't that all that is posted on /., old news from other sites that post is first?
Yes you can automate ear/war/jar creations with Ant. I was doing the very same thing today with WAS4. It works fine as far as I am concerned.
You missed my point. I was not ripping Macs, just the people that buy a computer because the color matches their couch.
I agree. How is this "news"? I could care less what the color of my box is. If you buy a computer because of its color you deserve what you get.

Why does anyone need this other than the simple reason "because we can have it"?
