I prefer the Google+ method, because it tends to keep what you're spewing contained better. But I still wouldn't post something to my "friends" that could be used against me should I look for employment again.
That being said, we need to educate people that their life on the internet is open for the world to see, and that is kind of the point here. Circles and other things are just another form of "security through obscurity" that we all know is broken.
Texting is for people who don't have smartphones. Email, Pingchat, Y!, FB, Google+, Google Voice and many many others all use DATA, which costs much less per bit than Texting, especially if you're using WIFI (like I do).
Texting isn't for kids, it is for poor people, which has, as a subset, most kids in it.
BTW, I have a smartphone plan without text messaging included. It can be done, if you ask for it. They charge separately for it, they can remove the charge.
Nope. If it is on the internet, it can be shared, and attributed back to you. Screenshots do this marvelously, and there is nothing you can do to stop someone from screen scraping.
The goal of the blockade was to limit the amount of weapons coming into Gaza from places like Iran, not diminish the power of the radicals. There would be no problems if the shipments went though the authorized ports. The whole blockade problem is a red herring, there is no problem getting goods into Gaza, unless you're a terrorist smuggling weapons from Iran for the proxy war.
Those protesting the blockade are simply useful idiots for the terrorists.
Flotilla is a statement against the Gaza blockade AKA collective punishment on general civilian population.
Nice narrative. It isn't a "collective punishment" at all. And to suggest that it is is, clearly shows that you're biased towards people lobbing bombs and invading Israel again and again until it disappears.
You' are completely ignoring the gun running that was rampant that led to the blockade. If Palestinians wanted peace, they could have it. They want the destruction of Israel, and continue to promote the same. The blockade is the result of what the Palestinians have done. They have nobody to blame but themselves.
So, how do you feel about Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California all going back to Mexico? How about the European invasion of the North and South American continents?
At some point, things become "inevitable", and you can't fix the problem without making a new problem.
Oh, and Israel came into being by international convention, not of its own accord, and as a result of near extinction of the race. Nobody cared about "Palestine" until the Jews started to move back, and then it has been cause celeb for all the Nazi sympathizers, who are still trying to exterminate the "Zionist Pigs" from off the face of the planet by proxy war.
Nor do people realize that the same international mandate that created Israel for the Jews to have a land for themselves, also created a state for the Palestinians as well. That state, Jordan, exists today, and is largely Palestinian population. Does the world really need TWO Palestinian states?
The sad thing is, nobody cares about plight of the Palestinians still. The Arabs, Persians and other Muslims of the world aren't doing anything to really help Palestinians build a civilization, because it doesn't support their goals of exterminating the Jews. The fact is, many Palestinians don't want to be productive, they have an image to uphold. Giving them another state isn't going to fix this problem.
I completely agree with you. Doubly so for Lawyers, they are the tightest group of professionals I've ever seen. I used to work supporting a number of law offices and after a while, it was just too painful to try to get paid for the work I did.
In the case above, this is typical of people who are trying to save a penny by not doing things right. No redundancy, no spares, no maintenance, no nothing. If I was managing this place, I would have all of that documented and who made the decisions, in writing (not in email). And when the inevitable, such as what happens, occurs, then I simply say, "this is the cost of the choices you made to save a few dollars."
But knowing Lawyers, it won't matter, they'll fire you for their dimwitted ideas. I say good riddance, and let then next guy try to pry a dollar from them. This is why I won't ever work for another lawyer for as long as I live. It simply isn't worth it. Shakespeare was right.
First off, it sounds like you don't value your life. Until you value your life, it will be made miserable by your colleagues. You and your boss need to figure out the scope of what is "normal" duties and everything that exceeds those duties comes at a budget cost to other departments. The trick is to get the OTHER guy to say "no".
Them: "We need a new ______ to do _________"
You: "That sounds Great. I'd love to do that, but I'm currently doing _______ (list) for the foreseeable future, which of those things would you like me to stop doing so that I may tackle your project? Alternatively, could you budget an extra $150K for our department so that we can hire someone to do ________ (list) while I start some of these more interesting projects?
I don't ever say "no", I tell them what it will take and ask them if they have budget codes for overtime, and the complete project work schedule. It sounds like you don't do bill backs for things and this is where metered work and a nice Help Desk System comes into play. "Can you put in a work order ticket for me" works wonders, because, as you'll find out, that if it isn't important enough for them to do what is needed, then it isn't enough for you to do it. You let them set their priorities (in writing) and you just do what they want you to do.
In short, let them figure out how to get you more help when it is too busy by making them choose what is important to them, all the while you're saying "sure, we can do that for you".
Can you walk down the street of any city in America and not be bombarded with images of objectified women on the billboards and newsstands? I know I can't.
It isn't porn per se that they complain about, it is the objectification of women (even if THEY do the same thing with the burkah). We object to their treatment of women as much as they object to our treatment of the same. The statement I made was only slightly exaggerated to make the point. One that seems to escape people like you.
It is funny, but all the recent "election" problems I can recall were all (D) precincts. I don't know anything about WI or who is having voting issues there, but blaming the (R) as you do while ignoring or neglecting to mention the problems with (D) voting is... stupid and childish.
Don't take this to mean that the (R) are innocent, I'm sure they are not. Perhaps it is much more common in (D) circles that it fails even mentioning when it happens there;)
We noticed that your ball was acquired through secondary resale or as a souvenir from a Major League Franchise , and as such violates the EULA enclosed with the ball's original packaging. Please remit this ball to its original owner. Thanks the BPAA (Ball Playing Association of America) representing the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NLL, PVA, PKBA...
Bingo. Sexual Freedom has consequences that none of the "Sexual taboos are all religious" people love to ignore. Sexual taboos keep people safer than wonton sexuality.
Tell a kid that they are sleeping with Susie slut who has five kinds of VD and they'll think twice about Susie's slut activities. Or if you look at the long term consequences of such activities you'll see a long line of idiots who can't keep their dick in their pants living in cars because the slept around on their wife and the wife (and kid) got all the communal property.
Problem is, I can make a thousand excuses as to why wonton sexual activity is not good, and none of them are religious. In fact, I'd say, part of religion's responsibility is to make known the consequences of such activity, and put it into terms that even idiots can understand. People like the GP post don't like to be reminded that they might get dead because of their activity, as it ruins their "fun".
Oh, and never mind the objectification of women as sexual objects to be desired and collected like gold coins that is inevitable. When was the last time you looked at Megan Fox and thought, "boy she is smart"? Yeah, I didn't think so.
You both are right. We tell them that they should let their girls be sluts and dress like freaks and boys to be wimpy girlie men. The men should all watch pornos and get drunk. And everyone should be gay. All images from American/Western Media.
The problem with this is that the left all think that it is our Government's fault, while the truth is, it isn't the government, it is all of us that is at fault.
And this is why the whole idea by the left that we should be "nice" and they will "like" us is a load of crap. We were very nice to Saudi Arabia and yet it was a bunch of guys from there that blew up three buildings and nearly destroyed another on 9/11.
Ultimately, you're wrong though, in the same way that blaming our Government or just "us" for Tim McVey's wacked out views and excusing his blowing up the building in OK City is wrong.
There are nutjobs in the world, that are just willing to blow shit up and kill others simply because they are crazy, like the Unibomber, McVey, and the group that did 9/11. YOU cannot blame others for the actions of these. It is wrong to blame others.
They hate us because we aren't them, and that is enough to blow shit up. That is the difference between them and us (ostensibly at least).
not to mention all the bent pins from people not able to line them up right. Or the rust weld on the screw/nuts used to secure the cables where you need a friggen wrench to unscrew them.
On the plus side of things SATA drives are hot swappable, something the older connectors would never allow you to do.
For all the "problems" you see, I see "opportunities" for other useful things. I've had, perhaps one or two SATA cables come undone over the years. I can't count how many rust welds I've had to fight with on older PATA and Molex Power connectors. And having hot swap SATA drive cages are quite frankly a dream come true for me.
It isn't just "war on terror" that is a scam. Almost all high cost "war on ______ " government projects are a scam, including: drugs, poverty, illiteracy, teen pregnancy.
I chalk it all up to the logic found in most government projects: "Something must be done, this is something, therefore it must be done"
Dude (or Dudette), let you not forget that unions, who, for exampe, pushed for Obama care and now have promptly petitioned to not be included in the provisions foisted upon everyone else.
We have traffic circles, here in my town. Not where they are needed, but where they are used as speed reduction devices. These are on major streets with minor streets coming into them. They are too small, barely an S-Curve in some places, so they don't integrate side traffic very well.
There are a couple VERY good places to have them, but they won't put them there, as it will affect local businesses adversely. Unless an intersection was designed for them in the first place, they should be banned.
Liberals never take responsibility for the unintended consequences of their policies. EVER.
I personally would love to see a law passed, that would require benchmarks and metrics for every piece of ill conceived legislation that would require its immediate repeal if the results do not meet the goals.
People talk about minimum wage as if it is supposed to be a "livable wage". Here's an idea, why don't you actually pay people what the work actually is worth. Frying hamburgers at McDonalds takes one day training, it doesn't deserve a "livable wage", it deserves a PFY making whatever it takes to fill the position. Flipping hamburgers is not career, unless you're Spongebob.
I prefer the Google+ method, because it tends to keep what you're spewing contained better. But I still wouldn't post something to my "friends" that could be used against me should I look for employment again.

Proof. Useful in divorce proceedings. As opposed to speculation, which is not.
Nancy Pelosi makes Sarah Palin look like Einstein ... and yet ... Hey look Natalie Portman's ass is showing in the new trailer for her new movie.
Wooosh.
Obviously you missed where I said ... "I don't know anything about WI or who is having voting issues"
Which kind of makes my point, that political ideologues like yourself can't seen the beam in your own eye.

No he won't. Lying to police investigating a murder warrants only 4 years, while embarrassing politicians is a major crime worthy of 25 years to life!
