    The scariest (or most interesting) part of this is that it's not so much that the lawyers said so, but the law itself says that is the amount. So if anyone is wrong here, it's the law. The plaintiff is indeed simply asking for the damage amounts based on what is described in the law at the proper calcuation method. .

    I wonder if the record companies didn't have a hand in that law in the first place.

    It's long since been established if you get banned from the bad co 2 forums you get banned from the servers for the duration IF your EA account is linked to your gamertag or psn id. Dragonage was shit anyway and the demo for 2 was just prettier.

    But do they get to run whatever software they want/need or do they have to count on there 'being an app for that'?

    I guess for the most part students used it as mobile internet and to kill time between lessons, that's probably what I'd do anyway.

    They say themselves there's no easy quick way to transfer information between apps and unless there's a properly good word processing app with all the bells and whistles then who's even going to do work on it? Netbooks FTW! Just as mobile as an iPad and pretty much the same functionality as a notebook/PC.

    Mail delivered to these accounts will count as delivered to the recipient, so any respite associated with the delivery starts running. Don't read your email regularly - miss deadlines.

    Surely not, even regular email has read reports, so unless it does that automatically and it counts that. Any company will tell you with regular post proof of postage isn't proof of receipt.

    Most of the time I don't care, or indeed, even notice...but one day I tried to watch 'I, Robot', and Will Smith did the most clumsy and blatant product placement scene involving some basketball boots (whatever)...It was simply appalling, and I stopped watching from that point.

    In times of less money people don't want to replace everything and they want the tech they buy to last more than six months before shitting out on them.     sorry but 2 years before playstation is not an old franchise in ALL OF GAMING (cause technically they did not say fighting games) by any means

    I'd say anything that started in the snes era (first arcade release was '92 snes was '93), thats nigh on 20 years now, and is still going qualifies. Sure gaming has been going alot longer but how many names are still going? Not too many, which I think has unstated importance, and yes kids today consider the psx old, but this is alot of nitpicking over a relatively minor quote that is largely irrelevant to the main point of the story.
