But it does appear Rey will be getting Impulse, Shinn will get Destiny and Lunamaria will get her own Gundam which looks like a mark 2 Gaia. Of course right now this is all guessing because we've only seen this mysterious Gundam in the new ending but it's pictured with the Minerva crew and we already know the other 3 pilots mecha. So unless Sting defects (some rumours say so) or Steallar stays on the Minerva (Doubtful, although she needs to go nuts and be really cute about it more often), it's Lunamarias.
I must say this and hope that someone will answer me:
I look at Ken Hutcherson's website. He is the pastor who supposedly pressured Microsoft in pulling support. He looks middle aged and has a Church in WA. Thats all fine, but the guy is African American.
How can someone who has seen and experienced discrimination, who has been at the bitter end of it, turn around and support discrimination against a group of people who are different not because of the color of their skin, but because of the choices they made, or their genes (depends on who you ask).
This is almost like Gandhi's grand son discriminating against a british kid because he is poor, white and powerless.
Either way, it sucks and I truly wish Bill would have the balls to tell him to fuck off. Not because I resonate with gay rights, and neither because I am not religious..purely because discrimination is wrong.
Some of the best thinkers in India tend towards Socialism and Communism. Not recently, but before Independence when Communism (or Socialism, depends on who you ask) spread through two of the most educated, free thinking states in India : Kerala and Bengal. Its not surprising that Kerala has 100% literacy, not a minor feat by any standards.
Young people these days tend towards communism, socialism, the India Congress or whatever political party they choose, not due to personal convictions, but because they are too lazy to work and earn.
And I would rephrase your last sentence to "Political parties doing something that is actually Good for the economy"!!. Its hard to believe that there still are a handful of Politicians and Bureaucrats who drives change in the establishment.
I didnt say the claim had validity you idiot. I just said that if they can claim such why is no one claiming on the consumers behalf about fair use rights.
If you want to stand and apologize for ClearFlicks/Clear Play work, for what ever reasons, maybe your sorry ass works for them, I dont give a fuck.
I did not say that I wrote that part of my post. I said RTF_Relevant Articles. If you cant comprehend that, then maybe you need to go back to middle school.
And all that you said in response to my original post and this, does not amount to whack. What I said does prevail, that they are claiming with out merit. Sarcasm, look it up, maybe you will learn something..
I was pointing out a parallal that ClearPlay/Cleanflicks drew. I did not create that comparison, they did and they chose to hide behind it.
Fair use is an exception to the exclusive rights in copyright held by the owner of the copyright. In general fair use allows for the limited use of a copyrighted work by a person or organization that does not have the exclusive right to use that work. The relevant language of 17 U.S.C. 107, which proscribes the meets and bounds of fair use, reads: "Notwithstanding [the exclusive rights granted above], the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies . .., for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright." CleanFlicks/ClearPlay has defended its position based on traditional notions of fair use. It is difficult to imagine which category CleanFlicks/ClearPlay's use falls into, although it is arguable that editing for content is a criticism of the morals of the unedited film.
RTF_Relevant Articles before you mouth off, Fool McCoy
Am glad that 14 year old pimple faced - living in the basement - testosterone pumped teenagers are finally owning up to their evil rebellion against the all encompassing entity which is the Movie Industry. Because they clearly have struck a significant blow AND crippled the dying movie industry by rapidly proliferating Gigabytes of digital movie files costing the Producers millions in revenue that they otherwise would have gotten for the spectacular blockbuster family entertainment movies that they consistently bring to the Silver screen. And I sure dont shed a tear for my evil brethren who run the risk of starving every Movie Industry bigwig's ivy league sons and daughters, with blatant disregard for their needs to live better than us souls.
Whats even more Phenomenal is the ability of Family and Faith based groups who rightly believe that they have a god given right to eliminate filth from the minds of us and to drive our youth to the purest form of abstinence and away from depravity. And their inability to comprehend the meaning of an "Off" switch.
Heres a thought. If buying a DVD does not necessarily provide me with the fair use rights to strip out its content and modify/store it to my needs, how does that provide Clearplay with the right to filter out what they deem filthy?
And did anyone notice the name of the Bill - Family Entertainment and Copyright. with names like that, who would want to not pass it.. Save the KIDS!!
And then MPAA had to go out and sneak this one in, like both parties are always notorious for. Sneak something in which would not have stood alone in its own right. Sneak it in and drive it in before we have a chance to respond..
The whole damn K Street is the first one that needs to be cleansed.
Not due to the lack of attempt, just that mostly directions meant (when I was growing up) was : "Go Straight for two kilometres, turn right at the Junction with the Statue and then one mile ahead take a left by the Cricket Stadium". Not something you want to pull up on Google!
In the Rural areas of the country and even in the suburbs of some major metropolitan areas, the above method will apply.
Rarely are there Street names. But it doesnt really matter as men arent embarassed to ask for directions:)
Half Life had unprecedented success due to the intuitive gameplay, the variety of npc's, the AI and the way they made you feel as if you were Freeman.
HL2 didnt have that magic touch. It improved on a variety of things, gave us a gravity gun and some cool textures. It improved upon, not exactly revolutionised the gaming industry as HL did.
Steam is probably the most hated delivery system currently in existence.
The real reason Valve decided to release HL2 expansion packs is because it has the name "Half Life" preceding it. And if Valve had decided to release it six years later, there would be no interest, atleast not nearly anywhere as it is right now, and they would have to infact "fight" for shelf life. Right now, retailers would love to offer shelf space for a product, that they know will sell half a million copies, especially for a game which left us all hanging.
In six years, a lot of things can happen. Valve wouldnt be so stupid to wait six years.
If you got the balls, inform your management that the project is on a one way trip to hell.
Seriously, let this Client know that with out his/her participation that this is doomed to fail. Now if the Client "does" want this to fail, then my best advice is to let your top management know of the issues so that you and your team not be held accountable when crud hits the fan.
If your client dislikes you specifically for any reason and he/she is the only subject matter expert, I suggest you get the help of another Business analyst/ PM / Architect to get the client to answer your questions. Or cc your mail for query to your PM to keep him/her in the loop. And direct your queries to your PM rather than to the client. Thats all thats humanely possible.
I like the idea of having a Client onsite because it encourages communication and serves to resolve any requirements issues/questions that arise. It also helps in reprioritizing requirements delivered as part of iterations, because the client knows best as to what they need most as part of each iteration.
I wouldnt let the client to change the requirements willy nilly and have them ask the team to change stuff as development goes along. Thats why I involve them in the creation of a Change management procedure that they fully agree with and any significant change (for which a proper impact analysis is done) will be implemented only once its reviewed and approved by the CCB (which involves the Client as well).
You dont have to follow any methodology blindly. You can pick and choose the one which is adequate and serves your project best. Anyone who asks you to follow any methodology blindly is selling it and not to your best interests either.
I have had clients who are regular ass clowns, which includes a certain grocery chain in Central VA, who have no idea of the timeframe required or the technologies involved. There is an absolute lack of any process, project management wise or developer wise. Defining the features, Use Cases / Test Cases are known as "Documentation".
As for your complaint about growing requirements, I work with the client to define an acceptance criteria much earlier on and ensure that the client knows that any change to that will entail a scope increase which leads to more money and most definitely wider timeframes. And I try to assign dollar values to the requested features so that they know what they are paying for, helping them prioritize to their needs and get rid of stuff they merely "want".
Ofcourse, you have to be true to yourself, your team and to the client.
First of all, the report focuses with Candian firms.
Second of all, rather than delving in to the varied array of processes and methodologies prevalent in the software development arena and reviewing advantages and disadvantages of each, the report goes in lenght talking about Vendor issues. I dont have a clue why.
Right from the Waterfall approach, or having no approach as well, we have RUP, XP and a mix of each playing itself out for the last few years. In my past projects, I have implemented each or a customized version of each and has varying levels of success. The biggest issue that I have so far seen is the lack of adequate knowledge in each methodology that someone who starts implementing any approach, either loses interest and resorts to a quick fix at which point the process starts to wither and die. More over, to some of the developers I have worked with, its not process, its documentation. CRC Cards is not a design tool, its documentation, its impediment to writing code. Much of it has to do with no academic background in best design or coding practices. They have heard of design patterns, and probably has used MVC to death, but when it comes to designing a system, its back to "lets start writing code rightaway and maybe the design will flesh out over time". The system gets built, but it suffers from Simplicity, it has very low quality.
I have seen a lot of firms talk about having a process, they love throwing RUP in the air, but nary a project which has successfully or much less adequately implemented any sort of process. They talk about Use Cases/ User Stories, but when the project gets kickstarted, they resort to SRS documents or less. And then they forget to adequately keep them up to date. Many even have Requirements management tools like Requisite Pro which hasnt seen daylight yet. Fuck the tools, atleast have a damn process. Many dont even define success at the outset of a project, no acceptance criteria either. They end up in a deathly downward spiral towards absolute failure dragging their clients with it.
I love XP, I love it for several reasons. Having a Client involved during all phases of the project, much less have a day to day interaction with the team is a phenomenal idea. I have had great success with this, but it becomes a bit of a problem, when the project is outsourced. No amount of communication (documents/mail/phone) can stand up to having a person next to you to tell you whats important and whats not. I love pair programming even though I could never fully implement it, when the client doesnt believe in it. I have tried pair design and have had great success. I have a few developers reviewing Test First Design and this has limited success as well. Limited, since the developers rebel, having low discipline and patience to write tests as they code. They are tutored and trained in the ways of "lets code first, maybe manually test it later and let the QA worry about it".
I would like to hear about other's experiences as well.
Where does the article mention that they were handed the competition because of where they came from?
They won because they did a better job.
But coming from poverty made their victory all the more sweeter. We cheered even harder when SpaceshipOne with limited resources beat Nasa with seemingly endless resources in coming up with a viable option for space travel that is cheaper.
We have in our power the ability to change these four lives. We have in our hands the chance to lift them up and give them better lives. We have the power to let them know that 15 seconds of fame were not all that they received, that we recognize them, respect them for what they have achieved.
And if we do, one day, when what they achieve with their four extraordinary lives, we might have improved the quality of living for us and for everyone in some way. If we help, we just might have made sure that these minds do not go wasted, do not wither and die, but to let their dreams soar. Imagine the power of $20 to change the world.
Before this deteriorates in to a Pro/Anti Immigration flame fest, I cannot but feel awe for these four kids who braced odds to be where they are at now. And to know that the odds piled up against their favor include being alien, poor, living in gang infested streets and yet be capable of this?
For one, I hope the media picks this up, not just Wired. I hope they get as much visibility as they can, on their plight, the lives they live and their achievements. We have all heard and read of ordinary people who surmounted amazing odds to claim their personal victories, but seemingly they happen far less and few in between. What this country need to know is despite poverty, crime and the potential to go wrong, not one, but four kids chose the right, but tough path. And they should be commended for that till kingdom come.
But for what we have seen, the INS would pick them up next week and hand them back to a grateful Mexico.
Holding the bloody evidence up for all to see and to know that Intelligence was what set us apart from every other living thing but doomed to be the one most ignored.
Maybe we should fry the bloody thing and serve it to Falwell and his cronies..

apples with oranges as well..
This review reads like a hastily put together altar for PSP for whatever reasons. For e.g, the author gives a lot of credit to PSP for something it will have in the future, meanwhile comparing the same with what DS currently has. True the touchscreen may not be the best option for navigability, but a button pad will pale before what a stylus can do when it comes to writing, careful manipulation of onscreen items. Sure yes, in a game you dont need much fine control, but what when DS starts supporting movies, mp3s and productivity apps for kids? Are you going to type using a button pad or are you using a stylus?
The PSP costs 250 or more. DS is available now for around 120. Are you willing to pay more than double for the promise of better games, graphics and a better screen? Havent we learned enough from forking over hundreds to the Nvidia and ATI's?
PSP Loading times??? A kid can be all grown up with in that time..
In the end the author gets it right when he stops comparing PSP with DS since the PSP should be compared with what Nintendo would throw next in to the ring.
I feel Sony is almost at its death throes after poking their finger in to far too many verticals than they could manage. And quality went downhill as well for almost everything they make.
"How dumb can thee be, my master!"
You could be a bitch to Lucas and Alienware, both at the sametime through a single purchase!!Limited Availability!!!
That the movie is dark, Dark, darK, DARK..DARK..DARK!!
I hope it aint so dark as not to see its flaws!
*ducks*

While the rest of the world continue downloading furiously, Bill keeps his GPS_enabled, Laser_attached pet sharks ready off the coast of norway.

If you dont like the thread or the discussion, feel free to leave and dont let the door hit yo ass on the way out..
Since you have a habit of trolling for M$ (yes, that is funny!!) in every thread/topic I got to wonder.. Did M$ make you its bitch??
Yes.
And have you heard of "Do no evil"?
They took the easy way out. And that reflects poorly upon themselves as individuals, the company and its employees.
