I've been in a recent presentation about HP wireless hotspot hardware(well, networking in general, we were checking out their switches, but the guy wanted to get our attention on some other stuff too) and they had a setup that used a centralised device to manage everything, and local hardware to run a wireless network with roaming on. It looked to be designed to be put into an exsisting environment, and just work, but we have not really bothered to check it out, as none of our custmers need it. You might want to give you closes HP supplier a call, if only to see the tech, they like to try to sell stuff, so it should cost you nothing.

My current job was found by the old standby, the classified section of the paper. I e-mailed them, it bounced off the spam filter, I routed around and got the interview and the job.

Now we are hiring for another person for the same job, we put one ad in the saturday paper a week or 2 back and have over 500 resumes in our e-mail. Some are such complete and utter garbage that it's funny, some of the spelling mistakes are now office jokes and some of the claims are great.(Don't claim that your call center job had more responsibility and greater user of a skill set then it really did, there just might be someone there that worked at that call center too).

We narrowed it down to about 15 to do a phone interview, and some of those will be dropped too... I know the job market is desperate, but please, show you can work and put in the effort. But it's also good to see that people still check the classified.

I wonder how much it cost us for that ad, probably some insanely low number compared to other options, and we probably will have the exact person we need. I think I'm to the point of "who needs online job sites? not me", maybe someone else does, but in the future, I'll only consider them if the prospects go up above 3.6%...

With a 3.0 version the emphasis should not be on compatibility as much as on speed, security and features. It may break compatibility, and there may be a need to a layer to keep some older programs working, but I think that a version started now that really pushes for some reworking at all levels, from the ground up would be a good thing for the future of the operating system.
