It doesn't matter. Now that the religious right has taken over, America no longer believes in 25,000 years ago. We only believe back to 23 October 4004 BC, when God intelligently designed the world. To claim otherwise is heresy, and will only result in you being interned at a Bob Jones Biblical Prison Camp.

You can. Call or write your Senators, tell them you're a constituent (and a voter, if applicable), and express your approval or disapproval of bills you like or dislike. Enough noise from the unwashed can get a bill killed, just like Uma Thurman did.

    Dear Mom,

I hope this email finds you well. All is fine here, out in your garage. As you know, I love working on my cars. I'm currently replacing the engine block in my '76 Trans Am. Well, wouldn't you know it, but just moments ago, this 550 lb engine block fell on my legs and I cannot stand up, and in fact, am probably bleeding to death. Luckily, I have my cell phone handy and so am able to send you this email - the marvels of technology!! Anyway, I know you only check your email about twice weekly, but when you do, please send help.

    Your loving son,

    Dexter
