Had you read the article, you'd have found this:

Each adapter will act like a hub that several devices can plug into. The first are expected to go on sale in the first quarter next year for under US$100, Chang said. The adapters also will shut off the power supply when a device has finished charging or is turned off, giving further energy savings.

It may be the Web Developer extension. After I went to FF3, I had major problems with slowness, CPU maxing, crashes, etc. I removed Web Developer and these things went away. I currently have 27 tabs open and 16 extensions installed, including IETab, and am only using 360MB according to Process Explorer. Try FireBug if you need a good web dev extension.

Sounds like the same class of problems you'd have with any form of electrical generation. I think the goal is not so much to replace all forms of generation with wind, but to use as much wind power as feasible to reduce pollution from the dirtier ways of generating power, as well as cut back on consumption of non-renewable sources, like oil and coal.

Just a guess, but I imagine that the engineers who design wind turbines are aware of this and build turbines with some sort of regulator to compensate for this. After all, wind turbines are already in use, and this doesn't seem to be an issue.

Cheney is a classic example of this revolving door. He's been with Haliburton, been with major pharmaceuticals and others and all the while, in between the two, he has held high ranking government positions such as secretary of defense. (And while he was in a position to do so, he helped push the twice previously rejected aspartame through FDA approval.)

You're conflating Cheney and Rumsfeld. Cheney was with Halliburton, but never any pharmaceuticals; Rumsfeld was with Searle when aspartame was approved.

It doesn't even stop there... yes, we meddle in the lives of other nations. We created Israel. Why? Is it our business to do so? Do a little digging. You probably won't approve of what you find. And as far as the Federal Reserve goes... has there ever been a non-Jewish chairman or board member? I'd be shocked if there were.

Most of them weren't Jewish. Saying "I'd be shocked..." is no substitute for a little research.
