  1. Watch for Microsoft Tax Breaks.... on Whitehouse Emails Were Lost Due to "Upgrade" · · Score: 1

I figure since Microsoft is willing to take the hit to the chin, they'll get some lucrative tax break for the next 20+ years. Or when there's a big Class Action lawsuit, they'll get Govt. bailout and make it all go away.

Was that fire in the building next to the White House several months ago burning the disc drives that contained the backups of all those emails?

    Sigh.

So there is a good chance that a lot of those people will have great credit.

There is this massive influx of returning players. I can tell you that from seeing it happen in my own guild. At least 10 accounts have been re-activated in the last month. I can't explain why, other than people missed the friendships that have been made.

  15. Decisions, decisions, decisions... on How Do I Become an IT/IS Manager? · · Score: 1

Many people are right when they say, stay in the weeds, and that IT management is a pretty thankless job, it is.

I am not a manager, but I see what happens to my co-workers who move up the ladder to that position. Unless you can keep you integrity people below you won't respect you. And unless you are willing to take risks with timelines that are impossible to meet, higher management won't want you.

It takes a rare individual to make a good IT manager. If this is where you want to go, build up your knowledge and stay with a company for a while. Having moved around to different postions actually makes you well rounded, and sometimes seen as too hands on.

Some companies prefer their employees cross over to different departments every 2 years to make them more marketable when layoffs come around.

If you've been at this company for a while and you like the company, and pay is decent, I'd stay and ride the waves. Some stability and loyality to a company is helpful.

Good luck in what you decide.

They should be denied the ability to ever take another class in that field again thus preventing the individual from becomming accredited in that field, that they set as their major.

Some jail time should be put into place, say 6 months to a year.

All colleges throughout the country should receive their names so the individual can't just go to another college and try to get their degree at another college.

It's simply a matter of fairness to those who bust their ass to go to school and get good grades and support themselves trying to improve their way of life. Those who choose the cheaters path should help pay the way for an honest person's education.

He wasn't even totally acting outrageous when the mic was turned off. He was somewhat forcefully escorted out of the room and then being arrested. We need to know, what was his crime for the Arrest to take place. Why, when there were approximately 3 to 5 officers holding this young man on the ground did they then feel there was a need to Taser him.

Where was his aggressive crime that threatened the life of another that would warrant the need for a Taser? According to the limited video, there was none visible.

This appears to be a gross abuse of police force. Many more people should be outraged.

Why is this country so great? It is because men and women before us stepped up to the podiums throughout history to cry out against government, and political individuals. This is why this country is great. But now it appears that to speak out is a crime by the very act of opening your mouth. This is just wrong.

Well, if you bothered to watch the episode with the Commentary turned on, you'll hear that Blizzard was gun hoe about helping out with that episode. And Blizzard is powerful enough at this point that if they didn't agree with being included in the Episode and it's creation, then they would not have provided the additional character within the episode where it was Alliance against Alliance. They would have come out disclaiming that they were not in agreement with the epsiode. Besides the fact that Comedy Central would make money off of Blizzard's game, and to do so without their permission would put Comedy Central in legal trouble.

These are supposed to be business men right? Business men are usually pretty intelligent and are savy enough to read and bone up on their business tools. Business men run businesses, they are in the business to make money. If their customers didn't read the find print, or whatever crap their selling, they'd say, "You've signed the contract.".
