In years past TSMC would be on the phone to the Semiconductor Equipment Manufactures requesting their engineers on the next jet to help resolve the problem. Alas, there is no money for travel anymore and most of the engineers have been laid off. A sign of the times is guess.
Well, it doesn't. Reagan was noted as a not a hard working president, early to bed, late to rise type guy. Yet, he died of this disease. Of course some people think he was a rat, so maybe the analogy applies.
This company is pathetic. Don't they every ever come up with an original idea?

You don't have to suffer with a broken Dual turntable. I sent my Dual 1229 off for repair by a person that has a passion for these old Duals: http://www.fixmydual.com/
The present system of patents is totally broken. It appears to exist for the promotion of lawsuits and legal fees rather than achieving true innovation.
There is nothing new here and somethings never change. A number of years ago I was at a Culligan Water Conditioning store when two men from the Vandenberg NASA Office came in. They started talking to the store manager. It was the end of the fiscal year and they needed to spend remaining money in their budget or lose the funds. A purchase order was cut for 500 gallons of purified drinking water for use in their coffee makers.
Actually on January 11, 1967 we launched a Castor/Scramjet on a test flight from Vandenberg AFB in California. This was the only test of this combination, followed years later by the NASA X-43 project.
Actually, you have a good point. A perfect example is Apple suing these shoestring Rumor sites (Think Secret). Jobs and company, rightfully believe that suing these websites will shut them up and deter similar conduct of others.
This company is rapidly heading to the dust bin, principally because of the way it treats it's customers. I remember a number of years ago a big hurricane hit Florida, totally destroying a Quark customers house and all his possessions. He called customer service to replace his REGISTERED copy of QuarkXpress. They told him that it wasn't their problem, to take it up with his insurance company. They said he would need to purchase a new copy. No thanks Quark, i'll stick with Adobe.
There is a general thinking around Vandenberg AFB that SLC-6 is jinxed. It recently completed this third major retrofit for the Delta 4. Many billions of dollars have been poured into the construction of this Space Launch Complex since the 1960's, with zero launches to show for it. The local Chumash Indians blame this on the Air Force disturbing their burial grounds. This jinx therory should be put to the test this year when Boeing plans the first launch.
Steve Jobs was a Vegan and lied all the time. One of his many lies; he had a child out of wedlock and said it wasn't his!

You beat me to it! This is absolutely the problem and not just for the PS3. This lead-free solder problem as plagued most manufactures of electronics.
I don't think they are mailing them to the Credit Unions. Instead, maybe to the Credit Union customers?
So I guess gold-plated bonuses of over one million dollars each to over a thousand employees are justified? I think not!
This should be a piece of cake for Burt Rutan of Scaled Composites!

Naturally, there are cell phone jammers for sale on ebay. (item #230187882339). From the UK only $179.
Low prices, the same reason people shop at Fry's. Go figure!
All will enjoy the old and hilarious "Ad Nauseam" webpage on shopping at Fry's Breakfast at Fry's
Every Macintosh is shipped with a full recovery and restore disc. So what happened?, nothing, you just need to buy from a company that cares.
If the NSA can tap your phone. Surely the cops can tap his toilet. Instant DNA.

No problem with the money, Iraqi oil will pay for it!
There is one major item missing from Sony's statement on this matter. When are you RECALL these DRM discs and reissue new ones to your customers?
Finally, a useful purpose for the space station. Just hook up the rockets and blast-off to the asteroid.
Does anyone have specs on cooling? The previous Power Macintosh 2.7 required liquid cooling. Will the new dual core run cooler and require only fans?

This has nothing to do with the change over to Intel. Apple needs to support the warranty its existing base of G4 Macs for at least three years.
