What was stopping you from doing this before? Not that you could not give some business someone else's contact info without help of Google... So what exactly is new here?
You just hit my nostalgia and I thought I'd share...
If you like fgood cartoons you may appreciate some of soviet-era russian cartoons.
The fact that were not under for-profit pressure (even though they were under diffrerent kinds of pressure) allowed them to create many great pieces which are so unlike disney&co. There are quite a few with little or no words so you will have no trouble understanding them without subtitles. They used many different techniques. Some cartoons are very primitive graphics-wise, but are cure and otherwise nice nevertheless. There is a nice place where many of them are available for download at http://multiki.arjlover.net/multiki/ . (That place only allows downloading from outside of russia between 3pm and 9pm PST and the limit is only one connection at a time).
some of the things I can reccomend where language is not an issue:
without reading TFA, any comparison of this sort does not have much value. Maybe if he reimplemented his app using same Java he would get 50% speed and codebase improvement? Maybe the original was just too poorly coded/overengineered / whatever? Ruby on Rails MAY be much better but any evidence like this is hardly valuable, that's why I would not even bother to RTFA
I agree with you as far as the picture you paint, but I think you are wrong saying it's American or any new. It has always been like that everywhere. I looks slightly different, but is all the same ages old "divide and conquer". And it is probably just the result of human psychology - we want to hear what we like.
I guess the way to make it work is to make these checks periodic (and pretty often) like fire drills and do them in more-or-less creative ways so it is not obvious it's a drill. And then punish those who fall for it in some way. I think posting a "shamelist" publicly would be an apropriate punishment. After a person burns oneself a few times he would start to be more careful...
Also, I believe, tax software provider takes on some legal responsibility, significantly more than other software. It is hard to give software out to anyone and still be help responsible.
this is a nice model, but the problem I have with it is that you start charging people money for the problems you created, so you have an incentive to create worse software. Of course this problem applies to non-free software as well.
What if project scores high on this - the way it is managed, but then no one needs/buys it, is that still considered a success? There were quite a few such in dotcom period...
I was lately thinking about setting up a comuter for my six-year-old and maybe start introducing him to programming (probably LOGO), but I am concerned that he will end up just playing games all the time. Recently he started playing ksirtet (a tetris clone) on my wife's computer and now he wants to it it all the time, and I do not want him to spend all his time like this. Maybe he will be able to balance it for himself after a while? I find to do it hard for myself! And I do not want to set it up for him just to have to police him all the time...
again I do not really have any obstacles getting citizenship, I just do not want to, but some people might as well have them. That is not my point anyway.
Now about your apartment: you do not have a right to vote because someone else *owns* the apartment. Do you mean that you *own* US any more than I do?
but I do have a stake in that country for reasons other than living there.
And all in all I do not appreciate the very fact that we live in such a divided world. I guess one day earth will leave all this "country" business behind.
if you do not understand my motivation it does not mean it is wrong.
Just remember what the elections are for: they are to elect representatives who would make decisions about this country affecting everyone who lives there. It would only be fair not to exclude people who happen not to have the citizenship. Why does it matter? It is a matter of equality. Remember when wemen, blacks, low income people etc. could not vote? Was it right? Why are non-citizens any worse? Yes, you can argue that it is much more in my control to get a citizenship, but why should I have to? I have an interest in this country (because I live here) and I do not see why that is not enough.
As for why _I_ am not getting citizenship is mostly because I already have one and I do not like pledging allegiance to anything..., but againg that is not the point. Governments are supposed to be for people not the reverse....
I live here, I pay taxes, I respect local laws. Should not I have a say on the issues? Why do I need to get citizenship? I simply do not feel like it...
estimated 347 million people are victims of made-up statistics.

Bush is a walking proof that there is NO intelligent design.

If that was the case, He would probably have been shot.

no doubt it might, the point is that the example in the article is pretty meaningless/ does not prove anything...

maybe, but that is "recurring revenue" they strive for...

No. US robots will fail because they will forget to convert feet to meters.

sorry, no. I live here and I do not consider myself a guest.
now explain to me what is wronng with it on the national level if you live in the country, just as you live in the city?
if you do not understand my motivation it does not mean it is wrong.
