Replacing the LEDs every year is wastefull when the regular bulb will last many years. On top of that, I'm pretty sure enough LEDs to produce an equivilant 100w incandescant lightsource would take many more resources to produce than a traditional bulb.
So whiloe you may save money in 3 years...it isn't really ecologically wise.
Of course you can imagine the entrenched Notes people pushing back, but eventually the change will be made. Steps are already being made to produce 'web service' type access to Domino mail databases...which themselves are moving to using DB2 as storage instead of the asinine notes format.
The vendors in my city usually have some very large men standing arround to protect the merchandise. I think if an RIAA lackey tried to take the bootleg goods they'd get a rightous beatdown.
IBM has a very powerful mail filtering system upstream of any user interaction. From what I've heard those worms had a very small impact. I daily interact with about 20-30 people and none of them has ever been hit.

Both 24-hour and 50-year weather 'reports' use the same basic models and concepts. If these concepts aren't accurate for 24 hours it is silly to think they will be accurate for 50 years. However, quantum mechanics and orbital mechanics are each discovered and manipulated using different ideas.
Usable...what about all those half-baked and forgotten Open Source projects? Surely you don't consider those abortions to be equivilant to the software released for Windows? There are very few open source windows projects...most windows software is released when it's 'done'.
The concept of intolerance towards other religions (specificaly Christianity and Judaism (sp) ) is all over the Koran. In fact I have been shown 'excerpts' that make destruction of followers of these religions acceptable. I mean, even the asshole xtians don't have clauses in their holy writings telling them to kill people of other religions!
So the muslim faith is no better...and infact possibly worse for social order, than the Bible-based beliefs.
I mean...you take the risk that perhaps all your bandwidth will be consumed when you over sell. Doesn't seem fair to me. If my ISP did that I'd hire a lawyer.
...and this fuels the sales of general purpose computers. How many people buy the top of the line Dell to do Email and Web Surfing? Lots I'm sure...and some of them must be smart enough to know they can do those things for less...easier...with a dedicated device.
Thing is, they don't want to look like 'wussies' infront of their buddies (You mean you got the 6? should have got the V8 man!) and some actually do believe that they will use their new PC to make world class films and music. Heh.
Some trend that sells tarted up trucks as 'SUVs' to people for whom a station wagon would be overkill.
