I've played games for over 30 years. I'm just tired of games that are now made so frustrating. They aren't fun anymore.
If a games seems a little short, the developers must make it insanely difficult to beat.
I have put many games aside and never finished them because of this.
And another thing... Many new games are developed for console, so I find the controls to be dismal when trying to play on the PC. I'm much more used to having many controls than using the same buttons for 3 or more different actions based on context.
And there are far more reasons to despise it than this. The renaming this is abysmal and frustrating.
So is it attempting to read everything when usb drives are plugged in and then not allowing them to be released.
If you innocently allow media player to update your mp3 with info on the internet then the OS will take that as permission to do it to every mp3 it finds anywhere, anytime regardless of media player running or not.
I could go on and on. From a usability perspective this is a nightmare. XP is so far superior.
However, some people when exposed to certain concepts have a greater tendency to want to act on them. Now, of course, I do not refer to sex simply or nudity. Some forms of pornography can involve violence and exposure to those might lead some, over time, to want to act out what they have seen and then fantasied about. So, really, there are some dangers for certain personality types in being exposed to extreme sexual ideas.
Actually I was in an Apple store last Thursday and they were having the same problem. I was trying to connect to their network with another non apple device and finally connected on third attempt. The store employees were all aware that their phones were having trouble connecting and staying connected to the wireless. Many of the phones were having to connect through ATT.
I have binds for binding and buy items quickly because I KNOW THE PRICE OF THE ITMES. Now you go and buy a rifle and guess what? The 10% price increase means you won't be able to afford ammo. Good luck!
It *used* to be that Apple needed to get some decent games to gain market share. But with the improvement in consoles I think this is changing. The hardware requirements and $$ involved in getting/keeping your Windows box up to speed for gaming is getting much steeper than getting a console.
Note that I have never had a console before but rather than upgrading my Windows machine I will be going the console route (perhaps a Wii) for the children rather than persue Windows Vista.
Furthermore, I write this on my first Mac, a new MacBook. I'm just so tired of Windows and I think more people are moving to Mac + console and losing the whole Windows pain.
I find Slackware the easiest distro. I use it on servers, desktops, and laptops. Granted, I came to Linux from FreeBSD so I had no fear of text files. Doing everything in a GUI can only take you so far, especially when the GUI tools do not fix the problem. I find it is also the easiest install for selecting what you want and do not want based upon what you intend to do with the computer. I also tend to be very eclectic in the software that I run. I like to pick and choose the best file manager, text editor, etc. for the job. I use fvwm for my window manager. I use Linux because it affords the best choices. I try to get new Linux users to try Slackware because once they understand how to do things they learn that they can do almost anything with their computers. I have heard of people that use Linux for a year and still don't know how to do anything with it because they are limited to what they can point and click in the default menu.
Because historically, historians rejected everything in the Bible about the Hittites until archeologists uncovered their cities. Same kind of thing, multiple examples.
Because around here it is customary to bash the Bible to bits as many times as possible. So, when there is something confirming a biblical story it is another perspective.
My experience is that the ATI cards are better, much better. But remember, the nVidia cards can come from so many manufacturers and they may use substandard parts.
The drawback is that I still get driven crazy by ATI and their stupid drivers. Just installed the latest last night and it completely messes up the TV function of the card and I had to remove and reinstall all the software to get it to work. That is why I haven't upgrade the video drivers for so long. Every time I do it it is a big mess. You wonder if they even test the install before sending them out.
But now the difficulty with zipping up the application directory leads to permission problems when each users has individual settings. You either allow the app to run with permission to change the file in the Program Files directory or you have users settings that need to make it to that zip file.
Don't get me wrong here, I don't like the registry from a user or developer standpoint. I like the way I can choose to do things in Linux much better.
I'm just not sure you Windows can undo the registry mess they made. There is just too much crap from every piece of junk on your system stored there unnecessarily.
...but it works.
I have seen routers that support wpa but some devices (e.g. my macbook) will not stay connected with that encryption.
I've seen this with other devices too, and other brand routers. Different implementations of a "standard" is a failure.

There have always been people that drive much slower than the posted speed.
I'm not sure if they are stupid or lost. But they do drive me crazy.
I don't think it has anything to do with saving gas.

>I understand that every person is a world
sheesh, am I really THAT big???
>Whether you eat nothing but stake
I guarantee that will help you lose weight!
Sooooo......
Who are those who are bought and sold like prostitutes? (as in point 2 above)
Don't take this personally, I'm just taking part in an adversarial system, called Slashdot.
Great, all we need is to get the 15% of killer soldiers to do combat with 85% of the lawyers.
What a crappy slow boring stupid ignorant website. Just to get a few screenshots and info you have to slog through crap crap crap flash crap.

Get married and its a lot more than 28% that belongs to someone else.
