Wonderful! We need more trialware to subsidize the price of computers. Of course that is bad for everyone but those who immediately wipe all that crap off and install a better, cleaner operating system .
Madagascar is right up there. On the main street in Mandritsara after twilight, I couldn't go anywhere without a flashlight. The stars were incredible, and I could see a satellite zipping by (and not the ISS, I checked). I've been in mines that were darker, though.
I live 2 miles away from a prison, so I can forget about seeing auroras.
Last year was MY year of desktop Linux, on a hand me down 7 year old brand X box with 1 GB. I coulda got a new machine with Win7 but traded for this one with a nice new monitor instead. Good trade!
Non-viewable? If you can see it, you can capture it. Some sites use the old transparent overlay over the picture trick, but that doesn't slow us down much. This Cambridge technique seems plausible but I can't get it to "work". But I'm using an open-source browser and operating system so maybe that's my problem.
I had a nice 18 inch parabolic mirror once. I could burn holes in aluminum cans. It's all about how good the focus is. Kind of useless, though; you couldn't cook food with it. Better to have a diffuse focus.
Before you say such things do a back-of-the-envelope calculation of how many cubic miles of Molybdenum all the world's semiconductors would need. Remember, each transistor is 0.65 nanometers thick.
Or, perhaps this should be Al Gore's new cause. "Save The Moly!!"
[Disclaimer: I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy]
I get 5 TV networks broadcast to me for free. I can watch them, but I have to put up with ads for $399 Amish Space Heaters and Cialis (which I don't buy). Or, I can watch PBS and maybe donate for their cause if I want. I watch The Office and take a whiz during the commercials, but mostly watch Nova and Masterpiece Theater.
So, buy a laptop with windows, wipe the crapware (Office, Nero, Norton, MSN), herd it into its own nice small partition, then put a better operating system on it and go from there. If you need windows for something someday (just conjecturing), you have it. You paid less than a barebones, because you got the "standard" model.
Desktops are different: you can get bits and pieces on sale & rebate, and put them together. But sometimes it isn't worth the trouble.

You can only put so much bandwidth on a power line. One interesting idea I've seen is running it down natural gas pipes. You could go to terahertz speeds with that, and it's underground.
My price point is pretty low, since I've spent $10 on software in the last ten years, not counting operating systems I was forced to buy with computers.
OK, boys & girls, we learned "teamwork, sharing and how to be part of a loving community."
And April 1 was Backup day, and Clean Out the Internet Day, and...
All I know about The Cloud I learned from the weatherman; if you want different weather, wait 5 minutes cuz those clouds could evaporate.
I just found out our local TV station broadcasts the evening news for free. That will never work.

My wife loves it, but I can't get it to install under WINE on our new 'puter.
This is art. It's useless, but cool looking. If it was useful it would be engineering.
Well, so what? People don't run their air conditioners, water heaters or factories in the middle of the night.
But he was the biggest source of hot air.
Windows IS bloatware. Trial apps are Crapware.

Hey, we get cheap hardware, free windows, and install Linux. If you ever need to run windows, it's there. All that other crap can be deleted.
...putting them 22% ahead of Microsoft.
After a few tries, I got it to look a little like Lindsay Lohan.

It never said that in the bible.

Unfortunately muons have a mean lifetime of 2.2 microseconds. So better hurry up.
"Does this muon make my butt look fat?
You should RTFM, because you haven't a clue.

The engine works the same. The accumulator just gives you an extra boost on acceleration; it doesn't run the car normally.

I'm 63, and all my contemporaries are getting on Facebook. The end is near.
