    Because previously the parks locked the gates during shutdowns. They left them open to avoid the bad image of locked gates, this is the side effect of that stupid decision.

    This isn't just Porsche though, Audi Q5 & Q7 sold a lot of TDI models as did VW with their Touraeg.

    I got this installed yesterday tried a couple of things and it failed both times while Google got them right. It is quick but it really isn't very accurate at all.

  7. Google Glass was doomed the second the term Glasshole was coined. They need a complete rebranding for these to be successful. I also think they should have promoted them as utilitarian objects instead of fashion items.

    Because at the end of the day you still have to break the will of your opponent and have them do something they wouldn't ordinarily do. Chances are 'you lost at rock em sock em so you now need to handover your port' wouldn't be overly persuasive.

    Why would you care if there are breaks or not when you can just hit pause whenever you feel like it?

    Tivo collects data on when you pause/skip and aggregates it for use by advertisers, and has done this for years now.

    It has nothing to do with the Dish lawsuit, you could never get Tivo on the Dish system.

    The issue is that they lost the contract with DirecTV when Murdoch bought it and started pushing the DVR that his other company(NDS?) owned and built.

    They didn't patent rewind/fast forward, and if you think that's what this is about perhaps you should actually read the patent.

    Tivo invented the DVR, period, and Dish infringing on their patents almost put them under. This is the whole reason we have patents, to let the guy that came up with the idea profit from it without being put under by big pocketed copycats. I'm really glad TiVo won this case.

    It sits in line with the waves so pointing out to sea, not across the coast line. It's designed to ride with the waves, not block/catch them.

    See it wasn't a niche peripheral, you're showing your age, or lack of it. On the C64, Amiga, Sinclair Spectrum etc in the 80s the joystick was THE way to control things.

    What is the device supposed to do with the information without knowing the context? Am I stressed because of the call I've just taken, the news story I've just read or my inability to use a specific app. Neat tech but good luck trying to use it to do anything useful.
