Last I used RPM was a long, ugly time ago so I won't go there. But the first and last time I used yum it refused to work, telling me that Linux/x86 was an invalid OS/architecture combination. I simply could not convince it otherwise.
I would, but the guy was being interviewed on the radio. The radio station in question only hangs onto recordings for 24 hours and even when I want to save a show I forget to. So, lost to entropy, it is.
And I never claimed to be an expert, tho I'm flattered you think I am.
Ever since I heard a CATO "expert" explain that gas prices were so high because a lot of people were topping off their tanks at the gas station, I kinda take whatever they say with a grain of salt...
I agree with you -- I was pretty disappointed with Fat Tire after hearing about how great it was. I much prefer SNPA...but maybe that's because they're in California.;-)
I also didn't like New Belgium's Belgian style ale -- a little bland compared to "real" Belgians. But NB's wheat beer is a superlative witbier!
Actually, while I was backpacking in Australia I met someone who drank Fosters. "The only guy in Australia who drinks that shit," his friends joked. He seemed slightly apologetic about it, Fosters in hand...
This is entertainment, the people who were busted in LA for modding and copying XBOX stuff and are facing hard time, that is real life. IMHO, no amount of copying and moding over a game deserves hard time, there is a serious priority problem here, especially considering that it can be argued that they didn't do anything wrong at all. It's sorta hard to get in the spirit of new product launches with things like this going on.;-) -g.
California has a special labor law that says if a programmer produces work on his own time on his own equipment, the programmer owns it, not the employer. There's probably something in there about also not being a competitive product, but I've never toed that line.

I've happily been using dpkg and it's ilk since.

There's a demo available.

The catastrophic results of merging Microsoft and Linux?
Nah...we already understand matter-antimatter collisions pretty well..

Wait....you mean that line isn't mandatory? I've been typing it in for years!

I wish I had mod points...

That's almost *excatly* the reason I just left Verizon and went with naked DSL and VOIP.

Who goes on holiday when their house is a mess eh?
I do! Who wants to hang around a messy house?

Actually, an RTG (radioisotope thermoelectric generator) can generate power for you without coolant, etc. More of a nuclear battery than a reactor or generator.

Well, seeing as someone was posting about how copying wasn't stealing, I thought I'd see what I could stir up by copying from them...but not stealing!
ass.

What is it with the "+" crap?
Just Visual Studio is hell enough, thanks.

Since when is "we'll just use yours!" collaboration?
