The Wii U is an entirely different console, it's not the Wii with a touchscreen controller (gamepad). A Wii U game, that comes on a disc, that doesn't even require the gamepad would NOT play on the Wii/Wii Mini
The tech nerds are/were the ones building the websites in 2003/2004 that decided to use w3c standards in favor of proprietary Microsoft code. Those same tech nerds could create their documents in.odf, but it won't matter when everyone else is creating.doc(x).
That's exactly how Unity was born. Canonical knew GNOME was planning big things for 3.0, so they wanted to contribute with ideas/code. GNOME wouldn't let them (and/or some ideas were diametrically opposed), so Canonical made Unity.
Here is the entire design document in one sentence:
Make the app look like an Android app, make the home screen look like iOS (but circles instead of rounded squares).
"People hate Vista/7"
By 'people' do you mean 'you' or 'people that hate anything Microsoft'? Plenty of people hate(d) Vista, but Windows 7 is generally well liked.
GP said "anything", not just computers. If you want to talk computers, talk consoles. In 1993 there was the Atari Jaguar, 9 years before OS X Jaguar. Yes, that's the hardware, not software, but again GP wasn't just talking about the names of operating systems.
First Apple, then Microsoft, and now Canonical seem obsessed with making their desktops "pretty" rather than functional.
False Dichotomy
Take a look at cars: They've kept the same standard interface for as long as I can remember (back to the 60s at least). The shifter moved from the steering wheel to the floor, but otherwise I could drive an old 60s car or a modern 2013 car without difficulty.
And as far as Unity, the launcher moved from the bottom to the left. Yes you could list other changes, but I could list other changes to cars in the past 50 year as well.
That's the 'normal' desktop pictured. Metro applications don't have a close button, title bar, etc. So can't really show Windows 7 vs Windows 8 in that regard.
If you're referring to Ubuntu Unity, what makes that a single app desktop? I've been using it since it was made default.
So... making ignorant threats against an entire culture is okay when you do it?

You mean the Wii U that came out 10 days ago?

Can you tell me where, so I can laugh and enjoy the $3 Guinness?

I think the GP was referring to the 'terrorist' being trained so as to not have any behavioral tells that security would spot.

Nikola Tesla also died long before all this patent happy business the GP is talking about.
As far as '381, stock Android doesn't bounce back. It has a line and gradient shadow when scrolling past the edge.
This statement has done nothing but fall on deaf ears of those who still actually attend live orchestras.
If they're deaf, why are they attending an orchestra performance?

This is technology. There can only be one, and when there is, everything else must be branding as an x-killer.
The iPad may be higher, but the Transfomer Inifinity could still be called "Retina" going by Apple's own formula.
Since "Retina" has to do with what the eye can (or can't) see, you wouldn't notice the difference in PPI between the two devices in normal use.
So a clerk shouldn't sell alcohol to someone who is 21+ because the customer might know someone under 21 that he might give the alcohol to?
Catastrophic effects are good. That will lead to changes in the patent systems which will benefit everyone...
You're assuming that second part would happen...
Will the Nexus 7 have a retina display? No, absolutely not, because there is no way they could hit the $199 price point.
Actually, yes.
Given Apple's own formula, a 1280x800 7" device viewed at 15" IS Retina

I wonder if they'll market it as *~Retina~*
You can sell apps on the Ubuntu Software Center and have been able to for some time.
IE supports rounded corners (border-radius) as of IE9
Don't believe anything from Valve with regards to dates, even if I comes from Gabe himself.

Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts are both cabbages anyway
