    universal DPI (like for example 300PPI - god i fucking hate inches, metric ftw) and build every display with that standard density?

    Yeah I know depending on the viewing distance, a 200PPI display could be the same as a 300PPI device viewed from a shorter distance.

    with satellites, big doses of uncontained radioactive materials? Shouldn't such materials be "glowing" to sensitive sensors from the space or something ?

    wouldn't an embedded in the cpu xeon phi version, lack the necessary GDDR4/5 which exists in the PCI-express card version with its 200-300GB/s of throughput, and be forced to just access the main computer RAM at about 40-50GB/s?

    setting a goal for 2018 or 2019 ?

    Such races are very good for the overall development and progress of computing, as the new technologies that will be developed will eventually be used in desktops and mobile computing.

    There are still challenges like the interconnects and the power draw, but IMHO these are problems that eventually will be solved.

    just because apple sells more iphones than before doesn't mean it's going well. That just happens because the market itself is expanding and has not reached yet its maximum. the minute the market saturates - since there can't be infinite growth - apple will sell for that moment MORE IPHONES than before and will own like 5% of the marketshare. From that point and on it can only go downwards. That's why hard figures YOY or QOQ don't matter, but marketshare.

    with smartphones as in the 80s with the computers. It followed a practice of a closed ecosystem, keeping everything proprietary and trying to control everything. Android today is what IBM and compatible was back in the day. The same way apple computers became just a niche market back then, iphones are becoming right now.
