Does the statute of limitations cover the "crimes" and "damages" herein? I hope so, as I don't want to be suddenly brought up on charges on some "incidents" that occured during the first year of UO. What kind of penalty does 1st and 2nd degree PKing and looting and dismembering the corpse carry? And I'm a changed man today, but I also made the legs into human jerky and sold and/or ate it, back when that was still possible. I know, I'm ashamed of my criminal past, but I've turned over a new leaf.
What you don't believe me?!?!?! *Vas Ort Flam* *In Nox* *Corp Por* *Corp Por* *Corp Por*
hahaha, good point, since they may have missed out on the pre-9/11 insider trading where alot of stocks pertaining with the airline industries were unexplainibly sold short and had "put" options on them.
I have. It did nothing for me other than waste a few hours of my life when I could have been doing something.
You should have tried a bit more. Since you sum it up as a waste of time where "you could have been doing something"....thats kinda the idea, to not do anything and clear your head. You can't just say "I'm gonna meditate", and BAM! your mind is cleared.....eventually you can get close to that
Yoga would be great to "get he kinks out" from sitting at the desk, solely as a stretching exercise, some nit-pickers can argue then its really not Yoga but simply stretching, in either case it'd be good. As far as whether its trying to squeeze more productivity out of you, as long as they pay you for that time, who cares?
That would be a pisser if any of that was, likely they will say they contributed v0.445.a, but somehow v0.446.b got into the linux kernel. And thats the infringement.
I noticed that SCO contributes in many areas, maybe that is now their laundry list of entities to sue and try to license. Java, RPM, Netscape, Wordperfect look out!!!!
You can easily say that Disney have consistantly put out high quality movies - Lion King, Aladdin,*snip*
Yes, but they are also whoring out their franchises like there is no tomorrow (they know something we don't?:p) With all thoe awful straight to video "sequels" they churn out their quality to crap ratio is getting way skewed
the parent is currently moderated as funny....there isn't anything funny about the idea of that if it was real, which wouldn't be too surprising, gotta start their Total/Terrorist Information Awareness database somehow. (yeah, yeah I know that has been somewhat officially "gutted", but you don't suppose they are still trying to do it by any other name?
I look all around me and I see MSCE, 6 week crash course community college trained Java programmers, and guys who think they should be administrating 100 UNIX boxes because they were successful at installing Linux on the fourth try all over the place pissing and moaning on how bad things are.
Exactly, basically the crash-high-tech-education is,well, crashing, for them....hell, at my last job when we would interview incoming hopefulls, if they put emphasis on their MCSE, literally 95% were worthless to us. All that usually told us was, you are able to cram, and had a couple of grand to blow..but what have you retained and can bring to the real world table?
Partly to blame are tech schools that get these "kids" with no experience to enroll because "MCSEs make on average $80k after graduation and its a vastly growing field"*chuckle*....they buy the bullshit, take the courses, apply for a job and then usually have a smack of reality when the interview doesn't go quite as planned. What we're seeing now is the weeding out and outsourcing of those who "lucked-out" and got in on that round.
How are the phones choosing what to "receive", point and "click"? thats a little vague. And what happens if someone slams a bunch (of different ones) up on a wall, which tag, or do you get them all? Who will administer all these tags? Can coke go around and plop them on pepsi billboards? Can a prankster (heheh) make some to well, in essense spam users with their messages? It sounds like a cool idea, but the implementation issues sound potentially horrible.
While good in concept, there's too much tilt on this analysis. The case could hinge simply on the judge's possible dislike for Penguins, or that he plays golf with Orrin Hatch and his son, or that SCO spins the "open source leaders'" comments so far out of whack
O.J. is running free, whodathunkit? It seemed like an open and shut case. But after all, if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit!.....right?
I have it on Dreamcast, but I will probably get the gamecube one as well, Treasure makes the most interesting schmups around.
This one borrows from both their "Silhoutte Mirage" and "Radiant Silvergun" both great gams in their own right. And don't forget ol' Gunstar Heroes either.
In reference to the article, I use my GBA alot more than any of my consoles (especially since WarioWare), because there's no setup time, you just pick it up and play.
Hatch is the son of Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, a representative for SCO confirmed Monday.
Great, another Republican "Father and Son" team. This is almost funny. On second thought, no maybe its not.
It's odd that SCO would align themselves once removed to the blithering idiot that went on a rant last week about destroying computers remotely. On second thought, no maybe its not.
I can't see why this would be reliable, wait, well maybe it would be too reliable, to the point of annoyance.
Is that vehicle 300ft ahead parked? What if a squirrel runs in the road, how sensitive is the radar? Is there a large tree or light post on the highway ramp (on the curve) that the radar has mistaken for a vehicle?
How can I tailgate with such a system?! Aggressive driving is a god-given right!:D
One can only draw the conclusion that they're throwing mud in the hope that some will stick.
Exactly, and they're cranking the propaganda machine at overdrive, flood the news with stories about the evils of linux and the cavalier attitudes of its "leaders" and hell before you know it people will think IBM said what Linus said.
Kinda like how a large percentage of Americans swear Saddam Hussein was in charge of 9/11. Same type of spin, different arena.
He endorsed technology that would twice warn a computer user about illegal online behavior, "then destroy their computer."
Holy-bleeding-step-mother-of-christ's-big-toe! What in the holy fuck is this guy on?
Is Hatch hitting the Hootch?
Must be, if you we able to pinpoint WHO was partaking in illegal online behavior, then why the hell wouldn't you get the appropriate **AA organization legal team on their ass????!? If you had the tech to trace and identify it down to a single machine, you got 'em. Sorry (insert college name), but one of your 10,000 students downloaded 3 mp3's that we felt we in violation of copyright. Just apply for more grant and gov't funding to repair the damaged PC's. Such ignorance is astounding! Does he hold stock in Dell or Compaq?
"It's very important to have collaboration and not confuse the consumer," said Mike Tsurumi, the European chief of Sony's electronics arm.
Yep, being "confused" is probably the last thing on the consumers mind when they are dealing with the "bugs" of the DRM system and the added restrictions on use. Heh.
Or when they are in the throws of being bent over and treated ummmm...roughly by the MPAA/RIAA, the consumer is probably more thinking about how they had to "pay for the date" and are still getting screwed, literally and figuratively.
What you don't believe me?!?!?! *Vas Ort Flam* *In Nox* *Corp Por* *Corp Por* *Corp Por*
The dudes midsection is like good ol' c3po's, including the ever illusive C3PO Schwantz
Will there be odds books and publications?
hahaha, good point, since they may have missed out on the pre-9/11 insider trading where alot of stocks pertaining with the airline industries were unexplainibly sold short and had "put" options on them.
The 2004 elections could not come quick enough.
Whats the non-US slashdotter's take on this kind of crap? curious...
Our government is basically doing a large scale dead-pool of sorts, classy!

is that Friends will continue for many, many years.
that link in your sig is great! Thanks!

Deer and moose will still require evasive action... and a nice Cabernet.
Pan-seared or broiled?

My head hurts......
The consumer.
Why then are they cow-tow-ing to the Big Boys? Are the RIAA and MPAA going to cover their losses due to scenarios just like yours?
Weird focus.....
Yep, being "confused" is probably the last thing on the consumers mind when they are dealing with the "bugs" of the DRM system and the added restrictions on use. Heh.

As eloquent and direct as that statement is, SCO still wouldn't get the message!
They truly live in a parallel world.
