    Lets see I can sue McDonalds because I'm fat, now to compound my lack of self discipline, not only will I be gorging myself on your food, but you'll be next to holding me in my seat since I can now web browse on my fat ass while eating your happy meals, and if I'm not done online, well, serve up another happy meal! You made me eat them to stay online!!

    In seriousness though, how soon you think it will be until some kids are browsing rotten.com or something like that in McDonalds, in sight of other patrons....what type of filtering will they enforce? That could be a legit. reason for a lawsuit

    yeah, GB->SNES was official , the VERY third party one I mentioned was the N64->NES->SNES->Famicom one...

    Wasn't there a SNES -> N64 botch cart so you could play your old games? or am i thinking of the Gameboy -> SNES cart

    Yeah, theres a VERY third-party peripheral for N64 that allows SNES or Famicom/NES carts to be played.
    There also was the "Super Gameboy" like you mentioned, gameboy->SNES

    And if you're so inclined, theres the N64 version of that as well.. n64 / gameboy converter

    Its always interesting one way or another when people do things like this, but the oddest thing was those weren't still images on that site, that was the actual gameplay! 1 fps I think!

    Anyone try it? Hows the framerate, thats ALOT of imps, man this scene looks like alot of pain coming his way!

    There are a number of biometric id types:

    • Heat patterns
    • Artery / Capillary / Vein patterns
    • Facial Recognition
    And so on..... so I'm sure there will be alternatives...but that doesn't help the ATM hardware manufacturers, thats alot MORE work adding more biometric ID types to a single ATM machine...

    How much more generalizing can you be? Makes you wonder exactly what strings they search under....that would be a interesting list, dontcha think?

    At least they were quick to admit the mistake and quick to speak of correcting it, which would make sense, otherwise they would be doing not much more than pissing off admins everywhere

    A month? Now since you're obviously trolling, I won't go too deep here, but, in order to wrap it up in a month *snicker*, they would just have to blast the existance of Iraq into the wind, 'cause there ain't gonna be no 1 month urban war,
    and if said mass-bombing / blasting occurs, there ain't gonna be any streets to perform any dancing! Let alone much civilian population....

    BTW, why do ppl keep relating 9/11 to Iraq, there is not a single piece of evidence?

    .....downloading the single page html version of it right now....

    I like the trend of release it online then if its warranted, we'll make bound editions......could make browsing in the bookstore a more successful experience (ie. less duds to weed through)

    Wow, these guys just keep getting better and better press, talk about running a sucessful software franchise down! From their new licensing schemes which now link with their use of the boot sector of your HD...what the hell are they thinking?

    So to use your software, I need to disable any virus scanners? That right there is a red flag if I ever saw one. Holy hell!

    I'm all for , and understand, the need for them to try to protect themselves against piracy, but they are treading on dangerous ground with this.

    Someone read the EULA, does it cover them if your bootloader dies?

    No it doesn't......check the menu bar on left....its not transparent to the shell in the background...and the shell in the background of the blue area is fixed and moves with the scrolling of the page, it shouldn't....get Opera or any of the browsers that the page mentions and you'll see the difference. I just looked with IE6 /WinXP Pro and Opera7 / WinXP Pro and there is a difference
    Yes, you can see the page, but it's not doing WHAT it SHOULD.

    hmmmmmm.....gotta pop some cases open when I get home, they still work which is a good sign, and they're a little older @ 2000 so they may be safe from this, how far back does this go...the article mentioned that problems started showing in 2001

    Possible I guess that MSSQL would be in backend (?) Oracle more likely, and ATM's w\ BSOD have got to be the touchscreen GUI, IMO

    I think this is a cool idea and all, .NET is actually not too bad in alot of ways..but I can totally understand why many ppl's opinion of Linux is alot of copying.

    Why not do the same thing, but don't cater it to .NET specs?

    Make the Linux equivalent (or better). Granted there are software packages that are "*nix only" but Soooooooo much time is spent making stuff to conform to MS specs , or "just like..."
    The more that things like that are done, the closer you become to turning linux in a windows re-write IMHO

    Just thinking, do these guys get paid piecework, so to speak...per song? Or per thwarted piracy? Whats stopping them from screwing up a batch of songs........a month passes by, re-downloading the songs they screwed up, and charging the RIAA double?!

    UNLESS OF COURSE,THEY HAVE A WAY THEY CAN TELL WHAT FILES THEY'VE TOUCHED ALREADY....hmmmm

    I'd like to think not, so the RIAA is going to compile huge lists to forward to these guys, who then in turn have to search out every listing on those lists, then download, then corrupt , then upload......talk about a huge waste of time and resource.

    Simply put, how do they know what is or isn't legal?
    There are plenty of bands that release some or all of their tracks for free....how are these guys determining WHAT gets fubar'ed and what doesn't......could a new file naming convention by P2P traders make this REAL hard for these guys..? How aer THEY choosing what content gets whacked?
