    The warranty is still honored by the new owners.

    That's questionable. I tried to warranty a ratchet last year, and they insisted on the original receipt. The tool is over 40 years old. I was sent away with my broken ratchet.

    Back in the day people thought the earth was flat, and if you thought otherwise you were a heretic and got burned/hanged/drowned/head chopped off/etc, and see, now we do know the world is round.. There is still a lot we don't know..

    yea, I heard similar arguments before purchasing the Hybrid that I drive daily. That was 200k miles and 13 years ago, pretty sure I'm money ahead.

    And I would call that problematic by design. Mr Hiroshima didn't chose this for Paypal's business model, and Paypal is ultimately responsible for this.
