    I blame hollywood, since the "stuck accelerator" is a popular trope in film. I've had numerous discussions with people on this matter who had no idea that simply shutting off the ignition would bring your run-away car to a halt. Just don't trigger the steering wheel lock.

    "How do you 'hide' the damage these cars have? ;-)" Easy, pop a kick panel and inspect any ground cables, and exposed metal above the floor level. These cars start rusting within days of exposure, and you can usually see a waterline once the carpet and/or kick panels have been exposed. I've had the not-so-pleasure of informing numerous people that their cars were submersed at some point in their history, and not a single person has responded with anything similar to "oh yea, I already know that".

    yes, I was witness to this tonight. I took my kids to McDonalds for Ice Cream cones, and we spent about 30 minutes on the lobby. During that time, there were more customers doing business with the RedBox machine outside (note, it's almost 100 degrees here) than there were inside buying food.

    not sure what kind of logs your MTA provides, but I think the best they can do is show the headers and not the content of each message. Forging e-mail is regrettably easy to do.
