    Yeah, I did that once. I was bored. It crashed as soon as it hit the swap. Hard. Like power switch not working hard. I had to pull the plug.

    So I say, go for it! Remember to sync before you do anything memory intensive. :)

    I HATE ABS ever since driving my parents' Suburban a few years back. Going down a cetain hill that ends in a T intersection (and a pond) would always kick the ABS on, and stopping became VERY difficult and scary. Seems GM should have detected more anomalies.

    As soon as the rest of the internet noobs figure out how to use the internet via a regular ISP, AOL is history.


    They have been around since the mid eighties, when n00bs who didn't know how to use real BBS's used Q-Link.

    AOL is not leaving any time soon.

    If you allow people to get those files, you get the problem where people are *sure* the file that someone sent them is important, because it said so in the email. So they allow it in and voila, worms.

    It's MUCH easier to prevent adware/worms on an XP Home system, what with everyone logging in as Administrator by default.

    Seriously. I've tried Knoppix, but I fail to see why everyone is creaming their jeans over it. It was a slow KDE desktop, and I binned it as soon as I realized it had no drivers for my NIC.
