  1. They did what the boot camps for those certs do they pound it into their head in a short time and test them quickly before it falls out again.

Students that can read a few chapters in a book and retain the info for only a short time just long enough to pass a test isn't a new thing I did it all through high school with my History classes. Pissed my history teacher off to no end because he knew exactly what I was doing reading through the material twice the night before acing his tests and then forgetting everything I read a few days later.

  2. I've totally seen that job posting. The department head gives a basic description of the job duties for the position to a recruiter who has no idea what any of it means a places the add. We usually have the department head approve the add before placing so it usually gets caught before you see it.

I was confused at first by what they meant by screen time because it used to mean how much time you are on TV or in a movie.

My oldest son spent a lot of time on the computer when he was in high school I bought him a C++ book called Game Gurus Guide to C++ or something like that. He made clones of all of his favorite nes games with twists and extra levels and he grew up to be a software developer.

The middle sons vary one of them has a game addiction another is a musician and basically uses his PC for mixing audio.

My youngest son spends very little time in front of a screen but loves cars and has to watch how many cars he buys and sells a year in order to avoid needing a dealers license. He buys them and rebuilds them in my garage he just turned 19.

I did notice there were pages of portable players on amazon and most of them looked like the same one re-branded but I also saw a few dozen rack mountable dual cassettes and tuners with cassette. I didn't really see anything in the line of a boom box that I might toss in the garage to play tunes while I was working, but that's not really what I was looking for. I just wanted something that could play back and had an aux out I could plug into the pc.

Are you talking about Sony, TDK, or Maxell all of which are still in business and making cassette tapes?

I recently found some cassettes of a band I played with in the 80s and was considering getting something to play them back on. Much to my surprise there was still a very large selection of new cassette players on the market.

The best and easiest way to get a green lawn is to not plant grass there are any number of weeds that look like grass that also help with erosion and are more persistent than average grasses people usually plant. Let the lawn grow to about 6 - 7 inches before your first mow of the year, keep the lawn mowed to 3.5 - 4 inches if you mow to low in the hotter months it will turn brown. No pesticides required that being said I use pesticide on the back tree line in particular to kill flea and ticks and it helps keep my lawn safe for pets and children.

After years being a musician and studying I can tell you two things. I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket no matter how much training when it comes to singing, and the majority of devices people listen to music on today are crap and you can spend a lot of money on something that still isn't decent quality.

You are correct the factory stereo in my car isn't high enough quality to tell the difference and neither are most after market car stereos. 14. It really comes down to the college they attend some colleges hand out degrees that aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Some less reputable colleges you can skip a bunch of requirements for a doctorate in philosophy if you are ordained by a church and registered with the state? There are churches that will ordain anyone for a small fee and help you register with the state..

  15. The students at one of the places I attended would work with real certified engineers and architects on community outreach projects and actually get a little experience and do a little hard work for the community.

  16. My state has an engineering board they only license disciplines that plan and build stuff like roads, bridges, and buildings. They require that you have a degree and be current on the state codes that apply to your field. I see no problem with this. Fining someone that never claimed to be state certified but did call himself an engineer because he earned an engineering degree is a entirely overboard.

    Let's see.

The day after the school shooting in Colorado they expelled my middle son because he owned a trench coat but hadn't worn it for over a year because he out grew it. A truancy officer showed up at my house later that afternoon and apologized because apparently the principle that expelled the kids with trench coats had been suspended and all the expulsions expunged.

The same son was expelled for wearing a pentagram. When I confronted the principle she told me that it was a gang sign and I corrected her that it was a religious symbol. She then said there was no place for things like that in a public school. I told her that he would be back to school and I wouldn't say anything else but the cross around her neck was enough that if I ever heard of him or any other kid getting harassed for something like that again I would take legal action.

They tried to expel him for dying the tips of his hair black, I called the principle and told her just no and don't send him home again.

I have 5 sons I could go all day with stories.
