    yes. Glass is the vastly superior packaging choice - preferably the big reusable glass bottles.

    In Mighigan 10 years or so ago they still had reusable half liter bottles of pop (as they called it there). Excellent. I think these are gone now, though.

    My ISP throws all the SpamAssassinated mail into the Trash folder on webmail. I review this once every 3-4 days.

    Haven't had an email I actually care about get assassinated yet. Slashdot Daily Stories are nice and all, but not that important!

    I have SpamAssassin at my isp (Verio) and it kicks ass. Probably a false positive per week (and that's often a slashdot Daily Stories email), and a false negative every 3-4 days. Pretty damn good. Cut inbox crapola from 10-20 per day to, well, zero.

    Right. That's why we have laws on infringement. Requiring copy protection forbids legitimate uses as well, so it's bad for the consumer, no matter what.

    I hate PPV anyway. Anything that will kill it is fine by me.

    We can record it now with a VCR, so we should be able to continue to do so in the digital future. If the cable industry can't handle this, they should not offer digital PPV. Duh.

    His point is that the restrictions themselves,, regardless of the rules applied, are bad. I agree. If they don't want to send it in unrestricted format, then we should just stick to analog TV, which works just fine, and either auction off or make unlicensed the HD spectrum.
