I'd hate to remind people that there's more than 5 hours in a day, and more than 2 days in a week.
In short, there's time for michael musto to make snide comments about the latest celeb fuckup, Worst/Best Person in the World, Oddball, and yet there's also time for keith to have guys like Dana Milbank and John Dean on to talk about more nuanced political coverage and give them a decent amount of time on the show.
Does the GOogle/DoubleClick merger keep any company from entering the market the same way, oh, MS did in the OS market in the 90's... wait, I mean, even now? The way I understand it, no, but I'm not an economics major, so go figure.
Anyone who's been to an arcade in the last few years has seen atleast either Police 911, or MoCap Boxing. both games use similar tech with out the need for special sensors to detect the body(mocap boxing uses special gloves to detect the location of your fists though).
The real problem isn't the actual value of the dollar, a weak dollar is a sign of a much bigger problem and that's a shitty economy. by linking the price of the dollar to Gold, you're then really covering up the much, MUCH bigger problem and that's really irresponsible economic policies by the Government.
Hate crimes legislation is not thought crime legislation. Hate crimes involves doing something actually harmful to someone just because they're not in your favorite and it's dead easy to prove because most people who engage in such acts are usually incredibly stupid and are willing to brag about killing .
1) fansubs tend, historically, to increase sales of the released product, since they generate buzz about a show - hell, they're the only reason anime is popular here at all. Here's the problem in the modern age. It's not fansub distribution networks who are mailing out VHS tapes anymore as the primary method of fansub distro. It's foreign bittorrent trackers, Directconnect hubs, ftps, irc f-serves, etc.
I do download fansubs, but I'm not going to act all butthurt when my favorite series is licensed or the fansubber gets a C&D.
Point on the fact that HDDVDs themselves are also advertisement laden.
But I spent an evening with a friend and her husband playing some games on their xbox360 and I was shocked that Need for Speed Carbon had ads anywhere they could've stuck them. It was most disturbing. Ads in the games, ads in the movies, ads in the consoles. What exactly are we, as consumers, paying for?
you're forgetting one thing to add in on this pile of wrong.
Ads.
ADS.
In the goddamn dashboard. No way in hell I'm paying 50 bucks for a year's worth of ads when I'm trying to play HDDVDs or games I've downloaded. I do not need to see T-mobile, Axe, or other ads(even if game related) when i'm gaming.
is the bbc leftist? All I can say as an American observer is that if it was beyond leftist, Top Gear wouldn't exist and more importantly, Jeremy Clarkson would've been shot from a cannon, despite the carbon footprint.
I know the feeling. I discovered tourettesguy.com recently, and went to wiki for confirmation that this guy was a fake, and found out that wikipedia deleted his page because of the notoriety rules.
No, but that's not a clear cut case for the *DoE* being a monopoly. State, county and other municipal level schools are funded at the municipal level. Ask them for your taxes back so you can send them to a Madrassa, i mean, catholic school, not the DoE.
The real world, i.e., nearly every first world nation that isn't America, shows that you can do single payer health care.
We also have the unfortunate reality that firms in the market aren't going to always play fair. HMOs ARE the result of deregulated health care in the 60s and 70s. Deregulation in the health care market's going to mean that prices won't drop, it'll mean more companies who will deny you coverage for disease A if you've already had disease B.
The market isn't always the best solution. I can't imagine what the local and state police departments would be like if we just privatized the whole thing.
Elimination of the HMOs IS the answer though. It's quite clear that leaving healthcare in the hands of people who's motivation is to make a buck is a mistake.

No, you didn't reach for the nearest cylindrical object and go, "IT'S A FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE."

It's neat, but, big deal.

instead of having a brake pedal, GM decided to affix a bigger, sturdier bumper and expect the car to crash everywhere it went.
Yes, GM's job is to make money, but we also would hope that GM wasn't ran by idiots.
erm, you're thinking metal gear solid portable ops.
Quite honestly, if you want a real decent cup of coffee, why are you bothering with McDonalds anyway?
I feel really sorry for you if you go to mcdonalds for the flavor
You mean the same PS3 that is beating the Wii right now in sales?

The fact that despite the massive foothold in the market place it's still not making money for the company means that there's a failure.

Nabeshin says otherwise.

While Senator Clinton, Kerry, et al. mostly voted for war...
Where's the Democratic hands in the jar? What do the Democrats have to lose from a pull out in Iraq?
nuh uh
my tech tree says Metallurgy, Magnetism, Gunpowder, Physics, Invention, University, Navigation, Engineering, Philosophy, Astronomy, Construction, Literacy, Mathematics, Mysticism, Currency, Iron Working, Code of Laws, Writing, Map Making, The Wheel, Masonry, Ceremonial Burial, Bronze Working, Alphabet
I just want the fucking news not a homework assignment.
If I have to triple cross reference a story on say, Norwegian fishing productivity, that's not news, that's OCD.

A state run media biased in a vague way in favor of the Government it's ran by?
No way!
BBC might be slanted but compared to CNN or Fox, the BBC is a goddamn breath of fresh air.
(Also, I don't care as long as they keep letting Jeremy Clarkson make fun of Wales and America.)

That would've saved me an hour or two.
