Excuse me? They made the N64 cart based to prevent piracy? What the hell are you smoking? Nintendo should know that cart based != pirate proof. Look at the NES. Simply one of the most pirated consoles. Not just the console itself(There are dozens of different NES clones that do play real NES games), but the millions of pirate NES carts out there.
Not to mention the bit of SNES and GB piracy that went on...
Why can't the EDR get the data directly from the speedometer? And the computer on the car can be set to kill the car if the EDR and the speedometer don't match. Granted, the computers in most cars can easily be replaced, but it'll atleast stop the idiots...
Why not? I mean, it's a deterrant isn't it? Automotive safety is a matter of everyone's safety. If clamping down on crazy drivers doing 2x the speed limit, then why not? It's not like we're talking automatic face recognition. We're talking about stopping people who are driving half to one and a half ton potential killing machines.
Yuugiou was never ment to be a commercial product, it was entirely a mistake.
According to the comic artist, Yuugi was supposed to just play games, period. That Yami, the character in the millenium puzzle, was supposed to represent characters we played in games, and that Yuugi played as Yami in these games. Well, the author had Yuugi play some monster card game invented by the story arc's nemesis, Pegasus, and the fans of the comic got really interested and asked for the rules to the game. And thus, the Yuugiou Duel Monsters was born.
Actually, everyone on my block had played SMB3 to hell and back and knew about all 3 warp whistles before hand. Then again I was also living in the piracy capital of the world at the time, south east asia, so it was no wonder I could rent a copy cheap. Just angry I never bought it. The box art RULED all.
hell yes. Vegas is the anti-intellectual. Even the citizens are come and go, so very little real culture sprouts up. I remember reading in one of our local weekly free news papers that half the reason why geeking out in vegas sucks is that there IS no culture to be had here and that it's not too attractive to geeks. =/
what worries me is that he's a computer repair guy, and unless he wants to re-start his buisness here, he's goingt o have one hell of a time looking for work in his related field. I wish luck to this man. And maybe run into him? Hah, like he'lla ctually get out and ejoy Vegas...
i wouldn't mind a bluetooth toaster and juicer. I wake up, wander down stairs with my PDA in hand checking my email and other news, and POP, my toast is ready and my OJ's already done.
The difference between this and an Apple product is probably a few hundred thousand dollars worth of research, a few months in design alone in manhours, and the desire to try to stay afloat.
With that said, I really think this is a smooth solution.
Well, a note about HK DVDs. For live action movies there seem to be authentic HK DVDs, that is, DVDs released in Hong Kong by the original author. If it's Region 3, it's authentic. I've yet to hear of a Region 3 DVD that's pirated.
Since there are tons of games produced based ON anime series and other games that most fans will play anyway(eg: Dance Dance Revolution, ), why not a listing of how to spot counterfeit games? I know any CD that's silver and supposedly for the playstation is an instant pirated game, but most people won't figure that out. However, Dreamcast, Saturn, PC, and other CD systems are just as likely to be targeted by bootleggers. In some cases, these CDs won't even boot with out some sort of modification to the console.
And also to keep a look out for horrible 3rd party gear as far as specialty games such as DDR, beatmania, and let's sit around and shoot the cat with airsoft rounds, while not pirated goods, are of an incredibly shoddy construction. Konami softpads for DDR rarely fail, if ever, and tend to stay in one spot while playing. Some beatmania controllers won't even work properly as the keys aren't even properly setup to play beatmania.
Given that the Robots have had the humans in pods for atleast 500 years, I wouldn't doubt it if the Robots knew how to overwrite the synapses in the brain.
a pure HD digital signal? That's not necessarily possible from a consumer broadcasting device. However, with wireless at firewire speed? might just be feasable.
The cost of web hosting+dns can exceed the amount of business the website brings in. Some small businesses really DON'T need webhosting. espcially in rural areas where they make thier money by fufilling a niche role, such as a general store or the local livestock feed market.
However, online "Yellow Pages" such as http://yp.yahoo.com and other directory services are cost effective enough to justify that cost though, usually free.
This article talks about *LISTENING* to small business about thier tech needs, not just shoving as much high tech gear into thier arms with very little idea how to use it... This is the right way to target small business I think..
Yes, but an ISO9660 of a GC disc is still ISO complant.

Christian never became a bad word. Idiots and psycho-hyper-conservatives have just been using it to such an extreme it almost is.
Emails telling me that I can enlarge my penis...
Why design all this complexity and all this effort to keeping humans CONSCIOUS?
The robots are still trying to break RC5 encryption.
Given that the Robots have had the humans in pods for atleast 500 years, I wouldn't doubt it if the Robots knew how to overwrite the synapses in the brain.
If I didn't suck, I'd be employed.
Actually, I heard this on some talk radio station while cruising the AM dial. Yes. I am a dork. But the music stations in vegas SUCK...

You know, I didn't even notice that the title of the article didn't match the article in question. Gotta love waking up for 9 AM classes...

I don't know about you, but LInux and Open office work fine for me on first install...
I'll concede that I deserved this. :)
The dubbing, writting and ADR is all the decision of whoever owns the localization rights. NOT Sony.
