    Given that it'd probably be be cheaper to just buy say, an Ultracade conversion kit than it would be to deal with trying to put an Xbox into a Jamma Rig? plus there's the hassle of getting the Xbox controller worked into a JAMMA rig...
    I don't see that happening in the near future.
    Then again I never saw myself playing a computerized version of Simon at an arcade either...

    6 percent isn't alot.... Although the price we pay letting the RIAA have this much power in congress is phenominal. Priceless in monitary terms. We can't let this happen. Get out the word. Don't let them do this to us.

    It's another revision to buy.

    Soemone on Aint It Cool News replied with the fact that The Hobbit was also re-written to fill in gaps in the story with Lord of the Rings.

    The Hitch Hiker's series was the same way... And god knows how many other works of fiction. This is lucas' grand opus(like, howard the duck wasn't), and if he wants to make changes, then dammit, let him make them.

    I'd say a better movie than Return of the Jedi. Jedi felt more or less rushed. It ment the confrontation of Vader and Luke, and the return of the death star. But, really? It felt empty.

    ATOC? Felt like it explained ALOT and closed up ALOT of small ends in TPM and even opened a few questions and even explained a few things in *A NEW HOPE*.

    Although, am i the only one to notice that the mechanical designs are starting to look more WestWood Studios esque?

    Given that most star wars fans managed to misinterpret the first released trilogy, and not see it as a whole? I don't doubt it. most fans are too short sighted to see Star Wars for what it is. hopefully, episode III will sate them even further. most of the people i went to see star wars with was rather impressed with it. As was I.

    Personally, i'm just happy that Aintitcoonews.com wasn't pulling my goddamn leg =)

    Star Wars is about characters a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

    how people mis interpret it as anything else is WAAAAAY beyond me. The trade dispute lead up to Senator Palpatine, future Emporer(if this is a spoiler, then go watch Return of the Jedi...), grabbing Chancellorship. It's a space opera. nothing more, why people try to peg action and adventure on it is waaay beyond me. Remember, Adventure, excitement, a jedi seeks not these things =)

    Actually, why not both? Figuring out things such as drawing circles with an etch-a-sketch teaches you to think about circles and other shapes in ways that other toys can't, however, I'd have really loved to mess around with a gadget that could let me write in it, save it, and let me retrieve it later.

    Fuck you, The Great Slashdot Blackout refers to userposts. However, I will not take sides as I do not read slashdot's access figures.

    Rho refers to Slashdot's apache logs as "tea leaves" however, Apache's logs are factual. Not speculation. It's not like he's reading random comments then coming to his conclusion.

    Anyway.

    It is slashdot's fault because they are responsible in an editorial fashion not to reveal such crucial plot points.

    If you say, "It's just a TV Show" then I can counter that The Bible is "Just a Book." Which to me, is. Christianity is no more a religion than Star Trek fandom, atleast StarTrek fans don'r try to push thier opinions on you in real life...(I've yet to see the Hollings bill for madation of the having the Prime Directive posted in schools and courts.)

    I wouldn't say that. Look at how quickly they absorb american music, food, literature and movies. When a game console enters the market and they don't find any game they want for it, they won't buy it. Although if MSFT can score Dragon Quest for XBox, then you know... ;)

    Sales in japan hvaen't been bad. I don't think anyone is really surprised with that. Microsoft hoped to be able to sell well in Japan, but I doubt even they are surprised that sales are "dissapointing." As reported earier, PSONE machines are out selling XBoxen. I think this means dead console.

    XP loaded with LiteStep or some other shell replacement, the non-IE Explorer.exe(You'd probably have to hack it to make XP think it's the correct version), and see if it breaks. I'm guessing no way in hell.

    OH well, to stray abit away from the subject, this is where the justice department went wrong! They should've gone after the boot loader...

    I was thinking more along the lines of actually running the executeable from inside Linux, of course, you'd have to figur eout how to strip down the kernel enough to make it do just that.

    Check this, use a sufficiently fast USB/Firewire DVD/IDE adapter(Supported under linux of course), boot to Linux, throw an import or "backup" in there and try to execute code, would it work?

    There was infact, a Street Fighter 3 Released. Roughly around 1997 or so, capcom used thier newest board to introduce SF3, a bunch of new characters, some memorable, some not. It was a mild success compared to SF2, but the hardcore fans either loved it or hated it. It too, also was put into the same upgrade curse that SF2 was under, but not as badly. SF3 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike introduced new techniques, and new( and some old!)characters to keep things somewhat fresh.

    ever consider what would happen if Government were not to interviene? Consider say, the turn of the century. Kids working for pennies a day. Parents working 60+ hours a week. No minimum wage, no employee benefits. Nothing. It would be a system where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer(errr, at a faster rate than what the USA is currently at)

    Do you not realize that any economy with NO government intervention cannot be just? If they can cut corners anywhere they can, they WILL. You cannot trust people to make the right decision. it's as simple as that.
