I am sick and tired of all these damn sequels and remakes and rehashes. When are we going to see something original for a change damnit! This game 5, Another game 3, some movie 7, Some other movie remade for the 5th time. I understand the motivation behind one or two sequels but are things really that bad that we need to go beyond 2 or three? Are we all out of damn ideas?
Now forgive me as I go off and play Gran Turismo 5 while watching Police Academy 8 on my other TV
Why the hell does an investment bank, who normally act as a "service provider" want to take a direct stake in a Social networking company ?
They're in the business of making money. If this will make them money they'll invest in it. If selling their souls will make them money they'll do that too... scratch that they already did that one.
To be fair Skype is a synonym for VOIP these days to the general public and a lot of people rely on it. I'm sure we'd get same stories if Facebook or Titter went down.
As for your second comment. Oh my God do they need to apologize for the new version of Skype! I'm lucky the Linux version is basic and they don't focus too much on it.
Teachers prepare our children for the future, scientists make the world go forward and nobody respects or pays them yet people who get all the money and power are the annoying kids you used to beat up at school (politicians and bankers). WTF?
Wouldn't it be simple to put out an update on your average home router with a list of porn sites that parents can switch on and off or come up with some sort of a standard which I'm sure wouldn't be hard to implement. Don't the ISPs already have customized firmware? This way parents have protection they want and we can still have liberty.
Is part of the strategy to force users to change their password every month so they can write it down or reuse it and make it just secure enough to pass validation? This kind of crap is happening at work and forces me to use crappy passwords! Thanks security consultants!
Out of curiosity if we can't trust the large faceless banks with our money who can we trust? This is a legitimate question by the way... if the banks were to fail where would my money be safe?
