You have problem on channel 4 with a 486 now with a 686 you will have problem on channel 6, not on the 4 this is why you don't notice interference on channel 4!

Linux application and backward compatibility with recent distribution is just not here.
And even if you use and distribution with the apps comming with the distribution you have the problem. I install Suse or Mandrake, and I never manage to get a KDE media player to run.
Someone can tell me if this book tell us how to add a item in the bizarre Gnome menu of RedHat 8 ? Everyone and his sister are complening all the fuckup RedHat make with KDE in RH8, but, in KDE on RH8 you can add item in the Menu, not in Gnome ! I think that RH make a lot more fucking shit in Gnome that they made in KDE !

But I think, it's a lot more difficult to upgrade a infrastructure of a country like Italy or any North Europeen country that it will be difficult to upgrade a infrastructure like the one in USA.
In Italy all the country was use for habitation, not only 10 to 20% like in the USA. You don't have big cities whom take neerby 60 to 70% of the population.
In Italy, people live in mountain, in big mountain, some place in Europe, in France have wainted until the 90's to receive TV signal because of this mountain.
Putting this on the edge technologies was possible because they have a gouvernment whom invest in something other than bomb and conflit with everyone who don't have the same opinion then them!
