    You would think your IT administrators would understand the seriousness of the vulnerability. It is only your companys fault for not patching. You are nuts if you try to blame this on MS. Why would you not patch a remote rootable whole immediately in any os. Where I come from the potential loss of data is much more severe than any perceived potential breaking of applications. BTW I have heard no problems caused to third party apps from installing this patch.

    If you go to big retail chain stores DVD+R +RW are the most popular DVD drives.

    Show me please. They are my vendor and as far as I am concerned have always done a bang up job in customer service. If theres a problem I will let them know and they will fix it.     I think the xbox is pretty cool. The online stuff looks impressive as well. You conveniently neglect that part of the xbox didn't you?

    They are the only ones pushing the envelope on online doing something truly innovative. This isn't just connecting up to a server to play games like pc. This is a completely new experience. Add to it the Xbox Communicator and you have an incredible combination.

    As for the hard drive thats a pretty big deal as well. Can you play ripped music off your PS2's memory cards? I didn't think so...

    PS3? Who is that? I think Sony has to worry more about Xbox 1.

    You imply that Windows graphics aren't already "accelerated". They have been "accelerated" since Windows 95 with GDI.

    As for Apple accelerating their GUI that remains to be seen. Their UI is incredibly slow compared to pretty much every other GUI I have used.

    I am sorry but you aren't serious are you? You have just written another prototypical sky is falling argument and I totally disagree with you here.

    They tried to break Apple Quicktime? All they did was drop support for NETSCAPE plugins. I don't see why they supported them in the first place but it doesn't make sense for them to support them. Apple new this was coming and thats why they had their plugin ready.

    As for future things that they could do wrong you don't punish people for things that you think they might do. You punish them on what you have done. I mean its totally possible that I could kill you and all of your family tomorrow. Am I going to get locked up for it?

    As for releasing products at no costs being illegal. Maybe Linux should be outlawed as its unfairly competing with other operating systems that cost money.

    I don't buy your argument. Sorry.
