Except many credit cards (Dicover does) have a policy of no chargebacks allowed for eBay or Paypal. When I questioned this once, they even sent me this policy in writing.
Subaru just had a recall on the 2002 WRX (and probably other models). They have to install a plastic bracket on the trottle lines, because some people's CC was getting stuck and accellerating.
The article made it out to be very negative to Microsoft, when in fact most of the problems seemed to be government pissing matches. A few examples include refering to the "Republic of Tawain", which everyone but China recognizes, or making mention of the disputed Kashmir region, which 3 different countries seem to believe belongs to them.
Notice that the fix for these problems wasn't to fix the map in windows, but to remove it entirely. That shows that it wasn't an "error in geography" on MS's part but that you can't get 2 governments to agree on geography and Microsoft was stuck in the middle.
96-98 Honda Civics with keyless entry had the same problem. To put an aftermarket head unit in, installers would push the stock head unit behind the dash or put it under a seat so the keyless entry still worked. Luckily Honda stopped this practice in 99.
Actually, the article mentions the Honda getting 33mpg. I owned a 99 Civic and I drove fast, I got 27mpg consistently. That was before the 2001 model update that bumped milage up at least 2-3mpg. So a 2004 Civic would get at least 30mpg the way I drive. A 3mpg gain by going hybrid isn't that great, and is less than some gas and diesel cars (Volkwagon Golf).
WTF does that have to do with your story? Sounds like someone just wanted to drive extra traffic to their deal site with an unrelated link in the story.

Ok, well how would a libertarian government deal with a "Company Store"? I would imagine it would be easy to set one up that wasn't exactly infringing anyones rights, just simply subjecting them to a life of serfdom.
Riiiiight, because the electoral votes of my home state (DE) can have any impact anyway over PA, NY, CA, TX..... Hell, I'd feel better represented with a popular voting system.
I'd say 25 cents a song is much more resonable. Otherwise a 17 song CD const $17 and you dont get artwork, a physical cd, liner notes or a case. 25 cents is more in line with the fact that you get no physical media and have to print out your own if you want them.
Look at it this way, would Dawin, Newton or Einstein, Hawking, etc.. have not done research b/c there wasn't a boat load of cash in it? Or what about the great engineers and designers of our culture. A device like this would probably produce hundreds of Da Vincis simply because smart and innovative people would have the free time to do as they pleased. Granted a lot of people aren't capable or interested in pushing the state of the art if they have 100% leisure time, but some will. Look at the aristocrats of Europe over the past 1000 years for examples.
I just don't see how Apple is having millions of downloads and sales every month from software that isn't on _that_ many computers. It doesn't seem to make any sense. Are these numbers legit or is Apple cooking the books?

Actually, I think there is also an HD transfer on the disc "Standing in the Shadow of Motown".
Actually, wasn't the Halo was smaller than the Ringworld and more based on Iain M. Banks' Orbitals?

Why does that sound like "Fernando's New Beginnings" from Grand Theft Auto 3?

Banjo!
Man, I wish I could get IRN-BRU in the US. I got hooked on it when I was in the UK a few years back.

My car
Drives down the road
My car
Always seems to get towed
Your car
Drives me home
My car
Always leaves you alone
Some day
I will drive you home
Some day
My car will drive you home
My car
Always stays out late
My car
Says the words that you hate
My car
Makes excuses for my friends
Your car
Has the patience that never ends
Some day
I will drive you home
Some day
My car will drive you home
My car
Runs out of gas
You wonder
Is my car going to last?
My car's
Got so much to prove
Because my car's
Got so much to lose
Some day
I will drive you home
Some day
My car will drive you home

As opposed to the lengths people will go to to damage Microsoft? But that's ok, right?
Actually, I know the son of a Senator who was heavily into Napster, so even higher ups are into it.
Wow, geek humor must be pretty bad when something as awful as that gets modded to 5. That comic sure make sa good companion to Penny Arcade though.

I thought public performances were exempt? Isn't that why cover bands are so popular, they don't have to pay royalties on anything (the bastards).
You obviously aren't left handed. Cursive just wasn't designed (or at least wasn't taught correctly) for left handed people.
So how many mp3 players and video editors did you have for your 486? How many gigabit ethernet cards did your 486 support?

Good, I'll finally be able to watch TV on my interocitor.
That seems like sort of a rip, when you can get a much faster Dell (with a 14" screen) for about $594. Check out the details here
