Back when the technology was new... drum machines, synthesizers and no one knew how to interface them. Here's a link to a fantastic interview from the drummer of Ultravox! who details the issues involved in syncing these devices - live - and long before even the Apple II showed up on the scene.

The also used dogs w/ bombs strapped to them and trained them by feeding them under tanks. They set them loose on the battle field and the ones that didn't freak out ran under the tanks where they were promptly blown by radio control.
Sheesh... cable "monopolies" exist on the local level. Local municipalities in a lot of states make exclusive arrangements with the cable providers. Recently, Indiana and Michigan struck down the local cable company arrangements allowing competition at the state level. Ohio has recently passed legislation, too. For too long competition meant, the cable provider vs. DSL. Hopefully real competition comes down from this legislation. Maybe someone from Michigan or Indiana could comment??
In my experience... following up after disasters... developers can be part of the blame. I don't know how many times where I've seen a person who thinks they are all that and a bag of chips just doing something because its "cool" or its the latest tech "fad". Yeah... it pads their resume and most managers are clueless on the details anyways, so they get away with it. They'll even come in after the fact, fix their crap and become "hero's". Definite win-win situation.
I don't think 150k would make a difference, hence the "??". However, I think afghanistan has a more centralized, structured government today than it did during Russia's occupation and 150K troops would probably make a difference.
However, I also feel that would have not quelled the appetite of Cheney. We possibly could be in Pakistan if not engaged in Iraq.
I think what he was saying, and what people often ignore... is that fact that Cheney would have deployed the 150K troops to afghanistan if iraq hadn't been invaded. Would 150K make any difference??
You mean it could of helped back when GW was proclaiming... "See those vans parked over there next to those 55 gallon drums, thats a chemical weapons factory!!"
Uhh... exactly where in the article does it say poor people have daughters? It says beautiful people have daughters. And where does it say rich have sons? It says there is less divorce w/ married couples who have sons. Do moderators actually read these articles??
You can't understand or comprehend that people have faith. It is hard to comprehend and some day you will understand at least one thing... something had to have happened for christianity to rise like it did where it turned the roman empire from a pagan society. I guess I'll be modded as flame bait for that one.
"Act like a pusher"? I guess coal companies are pushers too? And what about GM, Ford, et. al., are they pushers too? What about you? You have a blog which people *need* a computer to read... a computer that sucks electricity to function, therefore you are a pusher too.
I read that article in the Post. Nowhere did it say Exxon causes 150K deaths per year. The article stated the WHO guess 150K deaths per year related to climate change. It would be correct to say Exxon CONTRIBUTES to 150K deaths per year, but then again, wouldn't the blame squarely fall on the folks driving the gas guzzling SUV's? Its not like Exxon is forcing us to buy the gas.
Just shows apple is as manpower constrained as the next. Remember the article about stealing resources from OSX development and SQ? Probably nearly every area was affected, hence the lack of updates in the Mac Pro line. Nonetheless, but *not* offering an updated video card - which they have little work to do for (maybe assist in driver development) - shows your rant has total viability.
Who actually knows the series of tactical realities that led to the final defeat? Other than German generals and their 20/20 hindsight w/ regards to the battles fought against the Soviets, where the Allies just wanted to cull information on potential vulnerabilities of their new enemy, when exactly in history has the losers ever told their story factually?
You got that right. Now they need to ditch ATI on the Mac Pro's. At the very least have a disclaimer on the box "One must purchase a third party heat sink and fan so as to not render the card inoperable within a year of normal use"
I guess since we're blaming the Great Depression on the Republicans, lets take a step back in history another 70 years and we find the Democrats as the staunch supporters of Slavery. They actually wanted to expand slavery into the territories.
Thank God the Republicans came along - you do know they were founded as abolitionists in the 1860's right? - otherwise the Democrats might have installed slavery throughout the US and we might still be living in slave-states.
If the market pent-up demand was such, why did it take manufacturers 7 years to release models? Don't let the facts get in the way of patent rights, eh?

These clowns are republicans in name only.

Sorry... go flame a religious zealot, loser. I am not one - just one sick of the debate and your ilk.
Its called faith you stupid jackass. Some people have it and others don't. Deal with it.

Stand up and fight Germany, but let China and their ilk off the hook. Glad to see consistency w/ these companies.
Sure they will. There are countless of web sites where Mac's are left out due to WMV. Its about time somebody stands up against this BS.

Just makes the doubters of him as CEO material all the more relevant. He should of known better.
As director of Linux sue-ability?

just like the current sanctions on China and India goods?
Well... we better hope that story is hype. The chemical is used on all farms.
