    The Federal Bureau of Investigation is chartered by the USA Government to investigate all

    all "Domestic Interstate and Federal" threats/crimes investigation and prevention.

    The "Real Professionals" in Military and Government Service (especially field personnel) have my thanks and respect for all they are doing.

    FBI politicized "executives/bosses" are among the biggest (Military "Career First" GO, State Department OJT, Homeland Defense popinjays, Justice Department Spinsters, Executive Department Story Tellers ...) failures of the USA Government. Chaos theory should apply to the politicized "executives/bosses" creating a critical avalanche of failures that could eventually overwhelm the proportionally few remaining real "executives/bosses" Professionals in the USA Government. Then the politicized "executives/bosses" will blame the "Real Professionals" and degrade the efforts further.

    The "Real Professionals" in Military and Government Service (especially field personnel) are not failing our National Interest. Our Field Personnel are exceptional and would have prevented (I believe) 9-11 and the NOLA catastrophe, killed Bin Laden and all the top terrorist leaders .... The "Real Professionals" in Military and Government Service have been oppressed, fired, and forced to retire or accept political "Ass-kissing", "Dogma-sucking", and "Delusion-puking" as SOP in the USA Government.

    It all started in Congress, now it is in the Whitehouse, and finally include the politicization of the Supreme Justice of the land. Just what we don't fycking need politicized "executives/bosses". In times of National Emergency our politicized "executives/bosses" are advocating Corporate-Welfare, Religious Mythology Policy, Plutocratic Fools' Doctrine ....

    I you, in these times, believe any politician (including a parent) is telling the truth, working or the Public Good, and defending US Citizen freedoms, justice, and posterity for our grand-children, then you are a fool, uneducated, and/or mentally ill.

    Would it be legal to bet on which politician will wipe their ass with The USA Constitution and Citizens next?

    If Vegas could come up with odds and fair-games that could tally
    nationally and internationally the worse/best "in office"
    politician ... I would damn sure start voting again with a few
    bets in Vegas.

    I mean, I think, we can't legally sell our vote or bet on elections; However, our votes (most of the time) count on the basis of the amount of money expended by the elected official; so, why not have betting pools that pays out every year on criminal a/o poor-performance politicians. On December 31 we could place our votes/IP and/or credit card name/address, then be given an option to make our bet on any elected federal politician. The vote counts, but the payout is proportional to the winners who pick the biggest looser politician in Washington DC (on pool national another international) all US Citizens could vote twice. Then on Jan 01, the losers would be announced to the public.

    Well anyway, it would be as democratic as anything else today in the USA [got money, place a bet!].

    Would it be (who cares about fair) legal?

    Animats (I believe) is a con-artist for hire MS-Lobbyist, Vorizon, RIAA .... It is amazing how many are on /. and other blog/social websites. It is big-business paying pseudo-authority figures to act like they are knowledgeable on topic they are clearly clueless about and hawk wares of questionable value like Vista. DRM is one of the large problems with all MS-applications like MS-Office and Adobe-PDF does not work for DRM and/or longterm (multi-decades) content management.

    The "Open-File-Formats" PNG (graphics), SXW (text), SXC (spreadsheet), SXI (presentation), ODT (text), ODS (spreadsheet), ODP (presentation) ... are required. When law is used to make anything illegal for corporate profit and not public benefit ... I call it theft and fraud, and this time it is the content black hole of no (or expensive) recovery.

    Who in their right mind would want to use proprietary formats to eSign, password and/or encrypt protect, then try to recover the data 10 or 20 years later for legal reasons. Trying to keep the content portable over five years with proprietary applications is already a nightmare of unimaginable proportions.

    Anyway, you are correct, I have no problem using any media files on GNU/Linux OS and applications. Work media-files are all in a MS-format and I open and use them at home with little or no problem ... without breaking any MS-Laws or DRM-Laws. Should we tell Animats about Wine, SAMBA, Crossover ... or leave the idiot in the dark.

    I am not opposed to MS products, I am opposed to anti-capitalist corporate-welfare/monopoly tactics made legal by idiots in our government listening to scam artist corporate-lobbyist. Look at the FCC management idiots that believe OSS is more insecure than proprietary ... MS software ... "Obscurity Security (ObSec)" is proof of stupidity in government. Even DOD rejects ObSec these days ... I wish the FCC, Congress, CIA ... would get on the moving bandwagon of real progress (it ain't MS) in technology. MS is just the poster child for anti-capitalist corporate-welfare/monopolies in the USA and EU. Parents need to be aware that when their kids are at a religious location/function that there is an equal (I think) chance of pedophiles and predators injuring their child.

    I have believed for decades, that the reduction in people attending church/temple/mosque... around the world is due to parents being abused by pedophiles and predators in religious places. We tend to avoid places (whether we recall or not) where we were harmed emotionally/mentally as a child. It would explain why many folks stay at home and watch/donate to televangelist, it ain't like there ain't a church around the corner in the USA.

    US NEWS covers catholics/jews, because they are the easiest, safest, and most sensational television stories/targets in the USA. I mean look at the Jim and Tammy Baker types in the televangelist media. I am sure we are only seeing the tip of the metaphorical/proverbial iceberg, but if the media investigate (tracked down the sick SOBs in other religions) and adults would come forward ..., I suspect we would find a much larger problem than any one wants to know about or deal with today/tomorrow. Look at Congress, prisons ....

    If I had children, they would not attend any religious or political location/school/function ... without me always present to protect them.

    What some would call fragmentation is a dynamic strength to innovation and creativity. The fragmentation is lacking in MS, Adobe, Oracle ... all like DOD, Congress, Ford, GM ... are monolithic structured institutions. They are all legacy/Luddite business models of the industrial imperialism economic expansion. They are all dysfunctional in the present global expansionist economy. Oligarchic/Totalitarian business/government architectures lack ability to change manage fast enough to for efficient growth and performance. In the past these legacy institutions would accumulate great wealth, then during down-markets buy (at a non-inflated price) small more innovative, creative, and dynamic entrepreneurial startups to bolster product line and appear competitive when the market improves. Repeated failures by the big institutions to create, sustain, and maintain collaborative community commons indicates a dieing institution, not healthy community organizations.

    Anyway GNU, KDE ... RedHat, Ubuntu ... OpenOffice, Ant ... Firefox, Opera ... Thunderbird, Evolution ... ... are not fragments, they are the same youthful and dynamic community that continue to do far more with far less, than any legacy institution. MS, Adobe, Oracle ... all like DOD, Congress, Ford, GM ... RIAA-DMCA ... all wish they could slow down or even stop the Global Open Communities, but this will remain a failure in progress.

    IOW, sort of like: AM/FM/XM... one broadcast to many customers (1*100=100), but internet radio a broadcast/multicast... occurs for each destination IP address (100*100=10,000); So, if my analogy is correct at what ever proportion, then internet radio could not possibly afford the royalties and they are out-of-business.

    Unless, internet radio limits their broadcast to open-content and old (no IPR) music and other open-biz concepts, and start looking and booking open-music artist in new creative venues and concerts. Well then maybe eventually the legacy music companies that pirate and pillage music from young and new artist would eventually go out-of-biz. We Can Hope!

The Real Character of our USA youth is not on any goddamn website, college campus, in a mansion .... Our Best Youth Today are on the battlefields of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Life all learning reality, lessons, value....     Over the last five years, I have noticed a significant increase in what I call lurking-lobbyist presenting very reasonable spin-agenda with pseudo-evidence. Some stuff would test the ability of investigative [AKA: muck-racking] news reporters.

    Paid "lurking-lobbyist" appears to be big business. I have no proof of "lurking-lobbyist" on /., digg, CNN, Yahoo!, Google..., but I have at times noticed that there appears to be a sort of coincidental cluster-postings and ratings on some political/business topics that leave me with a strong sense of disbelief.

    I mean, it was easy to corrupt government and democracy in the USA without much fan fair and notice by the public. Could the same be happening on major websites?

    Could corporatist demagoguery be skewing web-content (as happened to print/broadcast news) into agenda-appropriate manipulative content for public consumption?

    MS Gates and MR Dell FUS and make a deal.

    This keeps Linux out of the office, schools ...,
    by making sure businesses buying Dell cannot get
    GNU/Linux/OSS. If I were to provide a winning proposal
    for installing (as a prime contractor) and supporting
    for a couple years, and I was costing cheap Dell
    computers preloaded with OSS to meet the contract
    requirements, then this could be a very costly mistake
    to make. If I made this whoops, it would be my costly
    mistake, not Dell/MS.

    Always make sure who and what you are dealing with.

    I wounder if MS & Dell know why/how computers migrated
    from the home environment into the office environment,
    and eventually on everyones' desk. Maybe they should ask
    others maybe older and far wiser then themselves, like
    Jobs at Apple, RHS at GNU/FSF....

    SUMMARY: I think, only trusting and misinformed folks
    will potentially buy Dell and MS products.

    If companies can not control/secure their resources/assets, then they need to go out of business. Persecuting the innocent for proof of innocent, or make additional welfare payments to support a Bad-Biz model is the real crime to a democratic nation and a capitalist economy. The more BadBiz models (with Government permission/protection) being persecuted and requiring innocent customers to prove innocence, honor, and honesty the less the USA is FREE, DEMOCRATIC, CAPITALIST. IOW: Stop the persecution, fyck all plutocrat corporatist and their welfare BadBiz models.

    One corporatist welfare BadBiz model that reminds me of the old 1950/60s mafia loan sharks is the present credit card rates today. However, that may be due to inflation (think about it ... "percentage"). Today annual mafia percentage is 100% plus, but balloon-loans that take the money and the property are close to the mafia rates. In the USA we now call all this good ethical, honest, and open Biz/Gov models/laws/...FUS. Yes, like the acronym FUS corporatist, plutocrats, politicians...
