which is too bad. You can no longer install linux on it. I keep hoping (against hope) that Sony will release the full SDK and really allow people to use the power of the Cell. Throw us hobbyists some love, Sony. Tell us what we gotta do.
There is a time when a ruggedized GPS is better than a phone. Hiking, biking, and boating come to mind. If you drop or damage your GPS, your phone is still safely in your pocket. Also it is great to have a standalone GPS without any ability to communicate. Call me a tinfoil hat person, but not having the ability to send my location to mystery server somewhere suits me just fine.
Take it. Wondering if a completely legal industry is a "black mark" in some future hiring manager's book is far too much navel gazing. You have to be pragmatic, hire on with this company, and take the opportunity as far as you can.
and I think it's fantastic. It is an excellent platform for putting together a web application. The support forums are great, and on the rare occasions when I need to use my purchased support, the ExtJS guys are very prompt and helpful.
I've worked in the IT department of hospitals in the UK, Australia, and the United States. The situation is the same in every one, you described it perfectly. Physicians are gods, and will be allowed to circumvent any IT policies they see fit, even if it exposes the entire hospital to a security risk.
If they can't, then I generally support the move. However, I have a hard time believing that Sony "Root Kit" Corporation would do anything that would actually allow the users a measure of freedom with their products. I remain skeptical.
Cool! Do they have an article called "The top 10 moves to make your mice scream in ecstasy", or "Things your lab rats don't want you to know (but secretly wish you did)"?
The trick is to continue to work at being in love. Don't take each other for granted, respect each other's opinions, and do small things for each other every day that say "I love you" in both words and deeds. I hope you both have a wonderful future!
Your proposal effectively pushes space exploration back a few centuries, at best. Send the people now, and send virtual when we perfect that technology.
The GPL is quite clear on this. If the original publishers didn't want it to be charged for, they should have created their own license. 15 years ago they didn't cover their bases, and have since abandoned the code? You're fine. If they want a complete free on available, let them release one. After all, it is the GPL. THAT is the spirit of the license, and by my reckoning you have done an admirable job of honoring it. Thank you for your contribution.
It is the presumed lack of health deficits. The Organic label carries some clout, because (to the best of my knowledge) there has been no massive recall of e-coli tainted beef, or salmonella tainted produce, from organic producers. I buy organic ground beef from Costco because a) it tastes great, and b) It is my belief that due to smaller producers with cleaner methods (i.e., not feeding the cattle brains from other cattle) my chances of contracting some contaminated meat or hideous prion disease are greatly diminished. If the Organic producers abuse this trust, race to the bottom line, and abandon cleaner procedures to make more profits in the short term, many people who think like I do will abandon them and they will go bankrupt.
I will give President Change-you-can-believe-in some points for consistency. He voted to keep FISA in place, and loved the warrantless wiretaps. Mr. Obama speaks better than Bush, comes across as less abrasive, and seems to care more about the common man. Where it counts, however, he is still a power-freak who wants access to as much of your data as he can, just like Bush. All politicians suck.
15 years ago. Ick. Now I'm back in tech and loving it. If you love management, and are good at it, than go for it. God knows, there are too few good managers. I was one of the bad ones, which is why I went right back into coding. I wasn't PHB bad, but I hated doing project management/personnel/fighting for resources. If you have the talent for that and want to do it, go for it. I wouldn't be too worried about your age when it comes to coding, however, as long as you love to learn new things you'll be able to stay current for your entire professional life. It isn't lack of intelligence that does in people, it's getting locked in their ways and refusing to accept new ideas.
So Toyota is just supposed to let a decade of R&D go out the window? I hate software patents as much as the next person, but Toyota had to invent physical items from scratch in anticipation of high gas prices. They were way ahead of the curve and deserve to be compensated by having their inventions protected for a period of time so they can recoup their costs and make a profit. You want to have a state-of-the-art hybrid? Buy a prius.
Where the government tracks your every movement. What bullshit. Of course, GPS is very easily blocked or washed out. This means that they will also have to notice when your car's odometer changes without the GPS appearing to move. Which can only mean one thing: The 10-4 FU form on your tax return, comparing odometer movement to GPS logs. How about our government just figure out how to balance their damned budget with the money they have coming in? Or is that to bloody easy?
I actually live and work in Michigan. I really enjoy it here, so to each their own, I suppose. I doubt that the mosquitoes are worse here than anywhere else. For skiing, it certainly isn't Colorado, but a quick weekend up north for some cross country is cheap, fun, and healthy. If you've found a place you enjoy living more, good for you, life is too short to stay in a place you don't like. You must not be into sports, though, as you didn't mention the Lions. No criticism of Detroit is complete without mentioning them.

Wasn't she the secretary that James Bond always flirted with?

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Primate politics rears it's head again.
Cool! Do they have an article called "The top 10 moves to make your mice scream in ecstasy", or "Things your lab rats don't want you to know (but secretly wish you did)"?
Too bad about the "never being able to do anything ever again" part.
The trick is to continue to work at being in love. Don't take each other for granted, respect each other's opinions, and do small things for each other every day that say "I love you" in both words and deeds. I hope you both have a wonderful future!
Turn it to 11.

If we're going there, close enough to be in orbit, we should land. We're humans, we explore. End of story.

Same concept, different type of broad.
An external HDD that also archives individual files. It is very cool.
about photons from images of fat people having sex.

If those 90 people are forbidden from eating cows by their religion, the original 10 are still screwed. McDonald's won't be hiring.
