What the hell are you buy on cd? I buy the cd's because the bands need support. But I don't deal with any of that major label bull, so the bands do get the support they need.
Yeah why use X windows? It's the slowest part of the system. And how is this system going to be cheap with TV in/out, DVD, and this other expense multimedia?
They already did bub, Office 98 and Office 97 aren't compatable. And don't see Office 98 is for the Mac so who cares. Try running Mac and PC Labs at schools, with people running around thinking everything is compatable in the MS world.
I share your elitist theory, and I'm sure many here a/. dot do too. But look at the masses they are dumb and enterested in government and polics. To mention uninformed by the moronic media. Most are just sheep and the ones in power know this and use it to their advantage. Just look and the popularity of Windows. Most use it because the media has shoved in there faces, and don't know their alternatives. Ok enought ranting for now.

I wasted my time and downloaded it here a work. Wow what a piece of crap. Its just random floating info tidbits completely useless, and it looks like someone punked on my screen. Echh!
Yes you have a point, but listen to this. I work in a computer lab here at my school. We have some 486DX-66's running win95 with office and other crap for users to write papers and what not. But most of my questions from users are my comp is just sitting here for 5 minutes doing nothing. So I go over and move the mouse to see a nice BSOD. A least half of the comps crash a day on my 4 hour shift, with users losing quite a bit of data and time. Now how can this be satisfactory? A side notwe we are upgrading to new P2-400's next month so the new comps might be stable for a few months. But wouldn't it be cheaper slap linux with say StarOffice or KOffice on these 486's and have a stable environment for users to work in? Ahh, enough talk for now.

GTK+ has had mouse support since 1.2.0. Thats why gnome and GTK+ apps has the wheel support.
I got the 333 o/ced to 416 @ 83mhz now and it's solid as a rock. The thing doesn't even get warm. My old ass 66mhz sdram is the only thing holding me back from 450 @ 100mhz.
I used to make bombs, love to game, and other things that the experts say are warning signs. But the thing that restrained me from killing people was, my parents taught me right from wrong. They raised me be independent and think for myself and i could do whatever i wanted when i was in high school, and i did many dumbass things but when things got serious and came close to the line between becoming really bad i knew what to do. There is a line that shouldn't be crossed, my parents taught not cross that line. If the parents of these kids in Colorado had paid attention to their kids and taught what is good and what is bad not of this would have happened. I went home this weekend and watched the new with my mom and the first thing she said was, "What were thier parents doing?" I guess the message here is love your kids and teach them right from wrong and they will make the right decision.

Doesn't Windowmaker use GNUstep? I'm current using windowmaker on my Slack4 box now, with libc5. Hence GNUstep on libc5. Or am I on crack?
